I think your option 2 is the best. Windscreen mount will leave a mark! hate those
2. Mount to air-cond, but focus air-cond vent is verticle.

Saw this mat before. I guess this is the best quality we can find in m'sia =)
2. Trunk carpet

But the air-cond mount are mostly for horizontal vent grill. Our vent grill is vertical, anyone tried before?
Mind share share? I dare not try because I feel that it will not get a good grip.

I am still waiting for the carpet shipment smile.gif hopefully it gonna be good!!

I am at my wit's end when it comes to phone mounts! I've already spent well over RM200 on but have yet to get anything that works. Anything that sticks to the windscreen is out as I don't want to damage the tint. Our aircon vent grill is vertical so all those that normally mount there don't work. Anything that sits directly on the dashboard is too high and interferes with the view, and furthermore almost nothing sticks to the curved, textured surface without effectively supergluing a hard plastic disc to act as a base. I even have a friction mount that does address this, but the height issue is still there.

Sigh!

Now considering this Mountek mount.

What think you?

I found them on tao bao. But I have a problem with the import custom now. The seller is telling me that the package might be rejected by custom since it is liquid. Not sure why, maybe to prevent dangerous chemical to enter the country or bio-hazard? It can be shipped but with risk of being reject by the custom.

But there's still hope to it, the shipping company says the custom normally checks on large parcel (10kg above, which also make sense). Will be shipping them in the next delivery probably a couple more weeks from now  sad.gif

If u are in urgent need, u can try to get it through taobao agent, they have lobang 1...

Anyway, I think DIY only applies to scratches on bumper or side skirt.
If DIY on the main body (hood, trunk, doors) will be quite risky if the scratch mark is larger than a old 50cent coin, the new paint will be too obvious to notice. Fine line can still be patched though.

Thanks. just bought from aliexpress around USD10. not sure when will arrive. hopefully no problem.

this seems like a good solution for Focus vertical vent. But the phone size could be a challenge.

Still figuring out where to put the GPS, a couple option i considered:

1. Mount to windscreen, use normal phone mount

2. Mount to air-cond, but focus air-cond vent is verticle.

3. Mount to dashboard, this is the current option I am considering.
But worry is the mount will block the vision. The dashboard itself is already quite high. doh.gif

I have bought a couple stuff which I think are essential to the car biggrin.gif :

1. Trunk protector

2. Trunk carpet

I bring all these stuff, u can PM me if interested.

About the rain guard, I haven't install it, will let u know once I installed.

The phone mount, I was also considering the 1 u saw, but then I am more interest with the 1 in my reply, it can be tilted at least. The dashboard near the middle speaker got quite some flat surface for it. Only concern is whether it will block the view.

Transparent 1 rclxms.gif

Not sure for Titanium.

For sport, because the interior is black, grey color foot mark appear to be really obvious.

Sounds like initial D, brake and accelerate at the same time.
*
Yes, I doubt actual owners would try that just to achieve a better 0-100km/h time unless he's a hardcore racer or something.

Guys, where do you place your GPS or handphone while driving? Any recommendations where to get some mounts for Focus?

Also I wonder if anyone managed to get something like this for the boot:

It is punishing, however, those are the benchmarks for all tested car for 0-100.

QUOTE(Dwango @ Dec 31 2013, 08:05 AM)
"Start with optimised RPM". That is quite punishing to the brakes and will wear it off quickly since we need to press on the brakes AND the accelerator at the same time I guess, before we release the brakes as the car leaps forward at the touchline. Guess that is how a faster 0-100km/h time is obtained, instead of launching it from zero RPM.

Is the car has off the TC for the achievement about 10.5 seconds?

QUOTE(0304125 @ Dec 31 2013, 11:30 AM)
Yes, about 10.5 seconds, not so impressive, perhaps turbo car can do much better.

Pumped my first tank of Ron95.
The first feeling?
The car is dead... cry.gif
There's significant different in power.
I think from Ron95 to Ron97 the change won't be significant.
But from Ron97 to Ron95, I can feel that the can does not accelerate as well as Ron97.

The car was juddering when in low gear with Ron97, I thought it was only the gear box.
But after changing to Ron95, the juddering seems lesser.
I think the juddering is partly because the car is too powerful? rolleyes.gif

Yikes! How la if you have to poke it for any reason? Won't the phone also go flying towards you if you tekan the gas (like the car just BEGS you to do... heh heh)

Seems like even more dangerous than using the phone while driving.....
