Just got my focus s+ today. Went huper optik tinting. Next week will arrange for sierra glow and probably will get the rims sprayed matte black..

Red. Ordered s version at puchong branch and was told able to get car in 2 mths. After 3mths still no car. They offered s+ with 6k discount n I took the offer...

You can search lowyat forum and look for Steven. I did huper optik for my previous car under the "cover jpj" c70front c40side/rear package. Performance wise is good but too glaring for front windscreen. Slight discomfort if u drive under hot sun for long period of time(traffic jam)...this time around I opt for darker tints c40front c30side/rear and is much more comfortable. After having done 2 car with huper optik, i can say from outside it look quite dark for both cars but from inside is quite bright/clear even for my focus with darker tints. Steven emphasize many times that with this darker tiints they cant "cover jpj" for me. Again, if police/jpj want to disturb you they can give all sorts of reason. As Sierra glow, the owner quoted me rm650. Hopefully can bargain further as I'm returning customer. The rims spraying, didn't really ask around yet. If possible I might ask around fellow focus owner to lend me their spare tires...I wont be using the car during the rims spraying as i do have spare car, so I will just screw in the tires for safety reason

Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. sorry to hear about yoru 3M crystalline. Anyway hope it will still serve you well although some parts already peeled off. For me, durability is equally important as heat resistant. Guess I'll just shortlist Raytech and Sahara-X instead. Read good reviews on Raytech, just the price is quite a bit higher than the rest. Don't know much about Sahara-X.

The jerking in low speed acceleration, from 0 km/h to 30km/h, will it reduce considerably with time? Performance of the Focus is great with nimble steering feel coupled by sharp handling and powerful acceleration. Just the slight jerking at low speeds which spoiled it a bit. Having said that it's a good car. Funny that my Ford sales advisor mentioned one will not want to drive a Japanese car anymore after driving the Focus, and that the next upgrade will be BMW or Audi. Funny but quite true.

Usually i dont really bother about brands with my previous VIOS, just fill up as i find any station when i need to fill up but i do felt quite a difference with BHP somehow. not sure if the fuel is making the difference or the engine is breaking in and getting smoother rides and better FC. i did fill up Caltex once in between but did not get that same feeling so back to BHP.

Although I do not disagree with you, but have you forgotten about how manual car drivers used to and still change gears?

I'm thinking of spraying or powder coating the rims to a darker colour...matte black or gunmetal gray. Quite sure the warranty will not void. Anybody did this already?

Colour wise can be similar for both but powder coating is more durable. I've checked the price for all 4 rims powder coat between rm800-rm1000 whereas normal spraying is around rm400

Meaning you need to shift the gear to different mode when there is traffic jam? Wouldn't be too troublesome?

That would be nice. please post the pix after the coating  . BTW quite difficult to get nice rims for focus as the PCD is 108 which is uncommon here.

Yes, it's a good car. Superb handling and looks good too. Several weeks ago I was trailing a Peugeot 408, supposedly to be compared to the Focus. I just can't get by the ugly looks of it as the rear of the car looks awful. The Focus Titanium looks so much better.
