Do SC change you battery already? Must be something wrong with the battery.. Just start my car this morning after 3 day idling.. No problem at all..
*
previously it was all jump start & recharge. initially i suspect some electronics is draining the battery if i left the car unlock for a long period of time. but after yesterday jump start, i make sure car is locked at all times and this morning same problem..

my feelings on the car is heading towards disappointment already.

the car manage to give pure excitement on the drive, handling but is the minor stuff im facing which you normally think shouldn't happen on car over 100k is really killing me

It depends. I am an owner of the lower spec non-plus version, and I regretted for not going with the higher-spec plus model. If I could turn back time I would have taken the higher-spec model. To me, the two features that are useful in the plus version are the front sensors and auto-cruise feature. Other features may be useful too, so it depends on the individual.

If you think you could live without any of the additional features of the non-plus model, then you could save quite a bit of money there. Only if.

If I were to buy the car I'll definitely take the plus. The additional specs are worth more than the extra. Additionally I think most SA will give a steeper discount on the plus, further narrowing the gap.

I could live without the additional features...but kiasu that I would regret like you did....additional features would mean additinal things to repair/service later on.

Initially I I had this same thought about the additional repair and chose non plus. But after driving for couple of weeks and reading how good the auto cruise giving some excellent fuel consumption made me regretted about never buying the plus and also for the sensor. But then some members since so dependent on front sensor often ignore or less bothered about ended up hitting with lower objects when parking... And actually I'm now getting good mileage with good foot control made me feel not to regret by choosing non plus...

Much like SportyHandling and thanish, I also got the non-Plus. Now after driving some 10k, I must say the Plus option would have been very nice. Specifically, the additional 2 air-bags, the Active City Stop and some other minor usability features make the difference worth it. Actually the extra cost is really the cost of funds for the extra money you will pay for the Plus, as you should be able to get back most of this cost when you sell the car.

For me, the two reasons that deterred me from going for the Plus were the extra cost would have pushed me past my budget, AND the sunroof which I personally have a pet peeve against. Much lower down on the negative list is that all these additional features may in the future become additional things that can go wrong and incur more cost.

Just go for the plus version if can meet you budget.... I think most of the none plus owner regret they opt for none plus and will definitely opt for plus version if they can turn back time... Same goes me...

So many goodies with just extra 13K.... The those additional features can be enjoy if you buy cars that is above 200k....

Some more now year end got lots of discount.... So cheaper to get the plus version....

However if you want smooth silky transmission without any jerk, grinding, leakage and etc... please look away... LOL.

I was in your situation 2 months ago. In the end, I decided to push myself a lil bit and huuaa laaa, never regret till today brows.gif

Personally for me, the decision point was the sun roof and HID headlamp, I always wish I have a sun roof when I'm around genting/cameron/fraser hill.

if you look at the price different are about 13k, minus off the discount gap about 4k, for the wholesome of features like HID, sun roof, auto park, auto stop, auto dimming rear mirror, cruise control, etc are far more worth beyond 9k.

the hassle it takes to arrange jump start/towing and the time spent waiting. the frustration especially when ford says everything is in good working condition...if it is a 20yr old car i fully understand. what i am having here is a 4month car which only done 6000km.

Bro,
Thank God its only happen to me once, and I know your feeling bro. Some car nut call it "battery parasite" and it take month to rectify adn solve the problem, because have to check all the electronic part that refuse to sleep even the car is off and lock

Here some tips.
After you switch off the engine, all light at dashboard will always remain On for few minutes,
But if driver go out,, close door, the dashboard light will auto off, ALWAYS CHECK THIS, if light still On, lock your car, then this time all light should be Off, accept the PATS blinking red light and one orange light at dashboard with key icon on it.
If all light still on, open car, start engine, on headlamps, on radio, on aircon then take a spin, after that swith off light, off aircon, off radio, MAKE SURE YOUR RADIO LIGHT is OFF everytime you off your radio, the only light that On is the word SONY and radio power button.
Before you off the engine, double check there is no USB attached, and no charger at your cigarate lighter.
Then Off the engine, go out from car, close door, before you lock your car make sure all light at dashboard is auto off within few second, then only lock your car, if your dashboard light still on, then thats the culprit. And check your aircon light also, sometimes this light refuse to Auto Off. Snap a picture of the light and make sure with the blinking PATS light, to show that you already lock your car.

This is not happen to all focus but it only happen to unlucky one, the light at dashboard refuse to Off. In Malaysia its only happen to you and me I guess.

Same goes to the USB drive, my brother also owned a Focus, he never pull out his USB drive ever unless he need to add in new song, but I always pull my USB drive out, no harm because the car clever enough to go to your last song, unless the Indexing is still on going.
If you notice, sometimes, we Off our engine, lock our car, then we come back On engine, On radio, at display it show, Sync System Idexing Complete, thats mean the car still doing minor background job even the car is Off.

Now since Feb 2013, my car all fine, no big problem, except for small issue. My car is weekend car.
What I do everyday before go work with my bike, I will go my focus and have a peek and see is the PATS blinking red light is On or not, if not blinking, then I'm in big trouble.

For owner that having problem with loud thud thud sound at front absorber when your hit hole or road bumper, go SC and ask technician to tighten the lower arm screw for absorber, under the absorber mounting. I dont know if you guys understand or not, if no, I'm sorry, reply me and I will explain again.

Now I'm waiting for my warranty claim for steering guk guk sound, Ford PJ said Ford Krabi is on top of this problem, and will probably issue out new comsumable part to be replace to eliminate the sound.
