u need to make sure u didnt tweak any turbo supercharges or tweaking any TX/RX value number,.. u need to make sure your E372 is original factory default setting ,. then it will work,.

or

u can set up manually :

- then login 192.168.1.1 ( you will see LuCI Gui interface )
- click login
- go to System
- go to Administration
- key in your new password ( For web Gui )
- re key in your same password again
- click save and apply
- go to Network
- click Edit on Wan ( 3G wan )
- select UMTS/GPRS/ED-VO protocol
- click switch protocol
- select UMTS/GPRS/ED-VO on protocol again
- Modem device ( zte mf680 = /dev/ttyUSB1 , E372 = /dev/ttyUSB0 <- last is zero )
- service type : select UMTS only or UMTS/GPRS
- Key in your ISP APN , ( Unet, Maxisbb, bbnet, celcom3g, u3g, my3g and so on )
- Go to ADvance setting
- Modem init time out: 5 ( key in )
- Use gateway Metric : 0
- Tick the box of : if uncheck, No default route is configure
- Use custom DNS server : 8.8.8.8 click the icon at the end
- second roll: 8.8.4.4
- LCP echo failed Threshold : 0
- LCP echo interval : 5
- Inactivity timeout: 0
- select Wifi
- click Edit
- select your wifi prefer channel 1~11
- enter your wifi name in ESSID
- go to Wireless security
- encryption : WPA2-PSK
- key : wifi password
- click save and apply
- then click enable to on your wifi ( if u need it )
- now go to System

chuah enrell is with the latest firmware, which doesnt require anything except setting up the APN right?

edited: there is also a problem with the firmware where they detect the wrong usb port... so might need to manually change to it

Just increase the port #, you will see "porting changing" , then run a speedtest or load a page, later you can see your Modem Detected with the telco info like Cell Id BUT Maximum QoS is no more shown.

managed to get it to work. i did not factory reset after flashing.

under script version, under modem. it shows somewhere in february. after resetting, it shows black window apr.

anyways, got new error. i have followed everything that need to be modified but the settings wont stick.

after rebooting, it revert to Protocol - DHCP client. i am able to surf using that.

using the recommended settings and after save/apply, im not able to surf. after rebooting, same thing.

i have to turn the router off/on and then able to surf but using the DHCP client protocol

help please

getting too frustrated with this smile.gif

are u using MR3420 V1 or V2 ?

if V1 , u can try the openwrt Altitude adjustment

Download this Openwrt image ( compile by khairilyazit & Ibnuasad )
-> openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3420-V1-squashfs-factory.bin!

manually setup under the 3g-wan, and it will stick after reboot,.. notworthy.gif

if u refer to the dairyman canada guide in that websites,

do a reset,.. there is a 30/30/30 reset notworthy.gif

use something which u can poke the reset hole, hold it with power on for 30 second,

continue to hold it for another 30 second with power off

then continue still holding it for another 30 second with power on,..

then let it go and reboot the router,.. see whether it work hmm.gif
