Just flashed Huntsman 04-19 on my 3420 v2, but the wifi seems perform slower than stock tp-link fw.
Any tweaks or info to enhance it? Or just my setting is mistake? FYI I already set max transmit power, 40mhz below, channel 11. Any pro mind to help out? Thanks in advance and regards |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Apr 28 2013, 12:35 PM) Same here, my mobile devices will face frequent delay like after key in the link in browser, it will lag about 2 or 3 second before it starting to load, first I though is my iPhone lag but it occur on my iPads and other android phone too, when with laptop, the response is great, the page is loaded immediately unlike my mobile devices. |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Apr 29 2013, 02:22 PM) yeah the older huntsman 4-19 have very hard time to reconnect after it disconnected. And hopefully this 4-30 huntsman fixed this issue, and the auto detect wrong port of communication issue too. Will try it later on. Have you try? How's it perform for you? just flashed with 04-30, but the wan cant connect... try few time, if not flashing back to 04-23 |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Apr 29 2013, 02:34 PM) i think the issue of auto detecting the right communication port is still bug. And very sure you'll need to manually decrease or increase it. That's why i am stick to openwrt altitude adjustment . Manually setup the 3g-wan. At least i know it would auto reconnect once it disconnected though. yeah don't know its bug or what, the wan keep disconnect and reconnect itself, flashed back to 04-23, too bad still noob for altitude adjustment |

BTW sierra modems only can use DCHP client? i tried UMTS/GPRS/EVDO and PPP mode but end up get no connection. |

QUOTE(maxcheam @ Apr 29 2013, 10:19 PM) I see that many of you have a wrong impression about ROOter firmwares (namely Redback, BlackWidow and Huntsman) although Dairyman and Waroonga Farm have mentioned before. Note that it's a customized version of OpenWRT which optimize for 3G/4G usage. The only configuration you need to worry about for making 3G/4G connection is at the Modem tab (APN name, Username, Password, SIM PIN, Keep Connection Alive, DNS servers). You don't need to mess with the configurations in the Network tab 'cause whatever you do over there will be overwritten by a scheduled task. So just leave the wan setting alone u mean? And the Network Status at the Modem tab it's just informational, it doesn't affect your connection at all. I hope we don't get confused with the original OpenWRT releases. To understand better about ROOter firmwares, please read information on this page - http://www.rfactory.org/OpenWRT/ QUOTE(maxcheam @ Apr 30 2013, 10:32 AM) unfortunately, there is a bug in 04-30 version where the Keep Connection Alive script is pointing to a private IP address to check the WAN connection. If you've set "Enabled with Restart", it will continue to reboot every time the scheduled task run due to the private IP address is unreachable. Thanks, finally there is no more disconnect? Here's a quick workaround until the bug has been rectified in the next release: - Change the settings for Keep Connection Alive in Modem tab to Enabled or Disabled - Add the this command without the double quotes in Scheduled Tasks under System tab. "*/5 * * * * /bin/ping -c 10 openwrt.org || reboot" Latest update: Please redownload the 04-30 version from the website, it has been replaced with a working firmware. |

Hi guys,
Just now updated to 20131110red version and my modem is connected but no idea why all my devices cant connected to the internet. Actually this problem is already occurred on the 20131016red version too, then I just flash back to 20131012yellow and everything is working fine. I was wondering why the red version doesn't work for me. I also tried 20131110yellow but my modem won't connect at all and i read the known issue at the ofmodemsandmen website it stated the current yellow version doesn't have USB power control. 20131012yellow > 20131110red (no internet) > stock tp-link > 20131110red (no internet also) > flashed back to 20131012yellow My sepc: 3420 v2 + sierra 320u Anyone could help me out? Thanks in advance and regards. |
