Hi ASUSmy,

I got a AC-RT68U as a gift from china but cant seem to get it connected to our local unifi. Im quite sure my username & pw is correct. Tried updating to the latest firmware from asus malaysia website but still cant seem to get it down. Is there any other settings that I should change? I called unifi and they ask to enquire with u guys.

The moment I switch my WAN cable back to my AC1200G, my unifi works as usual but when plugged in to the AC68. no connection to the internet is detected on the network page.

Hope to get some help from you guys.

Check under LAN setting, then check IPTV setting, change to Unifi-Home profile, if don't have, set VLAN 500 for pppoe and VLAN 600 for hypptv.

Unless you have a network hogger, I don't think you need to do any additional steps. As YouTube servers are pretty capable.

Every time I moved larges files, few hundred gigs across my network, YouTube will either display Hourglass or prompt error in loading.

So the answer is YES can, supposed it will have Unifi/Maxis profile, if don't have we can customize VLAN in LAN, IPTV setting.

Try to flash Malaysia firmware, then do hard reset.

Then re-setup using wizard, surely there is unifi/maxis profile.

Hi benlye,

Lyra don't have VLAN setting. It only support normal PPPoE dialing, DHCP or Static IP connection.

Thank you

@ASUSmy

I'm on UniFi and using RT-AC68U with firmware 3.0.0.4.380.7743

I just noticed IPv6 would fail if I enable UPnP (in Advance Settings > WAN > Internet Connections)

UPNP enabled = IPv6 works
UPNP disabled = IPv6 does NOT work

Is this normal and functioning as intended?

Hi posthumous,

Disabling and and enabling UPNP will cause the IPv6 to be disconnected for a while, but it will connect back after few second.

Would you be able to see is there any IPv6 IP address at IPv6 section or System Log->IPv6?

Thank you

There is no such thing as Malaysia firmware for ASUS routers
That only applies to D-Link / TP-Link and other brands

ASUS routers uses a global firmware that can be used for all countries

I waited 2mins then ran the IPv6 tests and still it failed. But it is all good and working now after I upgraded to Merlin's and forced a reboot biggrin.gif

On http://ipv6-test.com/ it recommends me to..

"Reconfigure your firewall
Your router or firewall is filtering ICMPv6 messages sent to your computer. An IPv6 host that cannot receive ICMP messages may encounter problems like some web pages loading partially or not at all
."

I've tried disabling the IPv6 firewall and still get that message. Might you be able to kindly advise me what I could do to correct this please?
