For networking device you will need to send back to the place you bought. Service centre won't entertain walk in customer.

That means, we, the Asus router buyers are f**ked even if the router has malfunctioned within Three-Year-Warranty period.

As mentioned by ASUSmy , we must send it back to the original place where we purchased for warranty claim, as there is NO DEDICATED Asus Service Center for warranty claim.

What a shame for such a big name company with large user base.

Well, I got my RT-N66U from Viewnet, Lowyat. They asked me to go Asus centre 4th floor opposite of Maxis centre.

Asus centre then routed me back to Viewnet. Going up and down, being tai chi up and down. Finally I asked Asus centre politely, who can I go to.   

Brought me over to Best Point (somehow the shop name also shows PC-Zone centre something).

According to "policy", need to pay RM40 verbally to me as it is after 1 year warranty period (but still within 3 years). Later print out receipt, shows pay RM30 once successful claim. 

I was trying to install my RT-N12HP router.
But after typing my unifi username and password, it tries to detect connection type and after awhile it just says unable to resolve server DNS.

In summary yes. I doubt I can approach the distributor as well.

will the modem face some problem when i finished updated the firmware?

Hi ASUS, having nightmare trying to setup UNIFI with this box.

1) chosen PPOE with ISP special requirement = UNIFI Home
2) keyed in UNIFI ID and Password
3) stucked at detecting connection type screen with time out error
4) error message turned out as below:

- WAN Connection: Fail to connect with some issues
- rc_service: waitting "restart_wan_if 0" via httpd
- pppd[355]: Unable to complete PPPoE Discovery
- pppd[380]: Timeout waiting for PADO packets <- repeated many many times

I'm running out of idea ...
* Did reset/factory setting numerous times.
* UNIFI ID and password 100% correct as i'm connecting right now using default TM router.
