Do you manage to utilize the AC1200HP's NAS capability?

Based on my personal usage, its performance sucks.

- Wireless file transfer using normal Windows Explorer Copy & Paste: 1.74MB/s
- Wireless file transfer using SCP Protocol: 0.05625MB/s Download, 0.0875MB/s Upload
*
did you tried removing the qos?

Play with my RT-AC1200HP, my RT-AC1200HP more powerful  icon_idea.gif  icon_idea.gif

Holly-crap! That's almost double of my current throughput. doh.gif

But it's still considered slow when comparing with the connected wireless LAN speed of 300 Mbps ~ 37.5 MB/s.

Not even 10% of the connected 300 Mbps was utilized...

Hi guys,

I am currently using streamyx 4mpbs and plan to change a modem/router since the current tp-link have Wifi issue.

So the problem is should I buy a ADSL router modem(Dsl-N12U C1) or just buy a router(RT-N12HP) connect to current tp-link modem router and set the tp-link as bridge ?

Will the second option works on streamyx ?

Hi AsusMy,

I have been running the new Beta firmware for RT-AC55UHP and everything seems fine and dandy.... All functions and features that I used is working as expected.

Just 1 question though, do I need to do hard reset after the firmware upgrade? Thanks bro...

Hi rjflyguy,

Normally for me I will do factory reset, to reduce any incompatibility issues. But still you can update the firmware and no need to do the factory reset.

By knowing your router current firmware version, you can go through the list of firmware available on the website and check the firmware list whether you need to do the factory reset or not for the version newer than yours.

Lets take RT-AC68U for example, at the description for the firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3813, it will ask you to do factory reset.

http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC68U/HelpDesk_Download/

ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3813
[Important] This version included AiProtection and AdaptiveQoS. After firmware updated, please press the reset button more than five seconds to reset the router to avoid some compatibility issues.

Thank you

AsusMy,

Does this ring any bells???

ASUS Malaysia is glad to officially announce the immediate forum support thread for ASUS Networking Products. In order to provide the best support, we have position one dedicated staff to monitor as well as provide support to all existing/new ASUS Networking customer. ASUS Malaysia striving for the best. Cheers.

Have you been the "face" of Asus on these forums for the past 2 years? If so I can understand your lack of motivation.. Same questions day in day out.. Maybe its about time for a substitution??

Anyway, I'll ask this for the last time... Have Asus stopped support for the non B1 RT-N12HP?? I've been using it for the last 4 days, but it has started dropping connection again..(Latest firmware - 3.0.0.4.376_4018 and reset done after update). I don't want to go back to D-Link or try another brand, BUT I would like an explanation for the discontinuation of updates prior to investing in another Asus.

Your acknowledgement would be appreciated icon_rolleyes.gif

I've been experiencing stuttering for HyppTV. I'm currently using RT-N14UHP. Telekom gave me another wireless router since I renewed my contract recently and it seems stabler. Are there any firmware updates for my router (RT-N14UHP) aside from the Jan 2015 update?

Hi there, I just bought Asus RT-N12HP last week but when I setup I follow the way that Asus post on YouTube. But when I key in unifi username and password loading awhile then server not found on that page. May I know what's the problem?
By the way I exchange for the new router already but still the same.
Anyone faced this problem before? How to solve it?
Thank you smile.gif

Hi ASUSmy,
I was trying to setup the Rt-AC55UHP for unifi, using 3.0.0.1.378_6117 firmware. I followed all the steps in https://klseet.com/index.php/236-tm-unifi/u...asus-rt-ac55uhp. The led of internet is blue, the status also shown connected, but i m not able to connect to internet.
Before I updated firmware, the factory default version was 3.0.0.4.378_5209. I couldn't get the connection, thus I update this beta version firmware. Is there anything with the MRU/MTU setting?
Thanks. a lot

Hi Skoosha,

Sorry for the late reply, regarding the question for the non B1 RT-N12HP, I have asked my RD regarding this and they will get back to me ASAP.

Will update you again once I got any updates.

Hi ncys1,

You can try on the beta firmware from the below link.

You require to do a factory reset after the firmware update.

Thank you

Hi jusbella,

Do you mean you wanted to add multiple opvn file in VPN Client? If yes, that's mean that you want to change different openVPN server when needed without importing it each time when changing?

Thank you
