for the ubuntu i get around 800 - 900kB/s however for the movie file, it only goes min 40kB/s up to 300kB/s only.

currently using utorrent 2.2.1 and on the previous router, it maxes the speed quickly.

Hi joeboto,

800-900 is normal for 8MB Internet speed. Have you try other movie?

Thank you

i am currently using ea-n66 as my pc wireless adapter aka repeater in my room. but then is it anyway to access my router setup through ea-n66 instead of only access to ea-n66 setup?
*
Hi coOLR3xz,

You should be able to access to the router directly by key in the router IP address on the browser. To access the wireless adapter you can type 10.0.0.1 at the browser. If you are using ASUS router also, you can use a utilities provided by ASUS "Device Discovery" to detect ASUS network device.

Thank you

finally i got stable speed from the same torrent. for utorrent i had to check global rate limit options, which is limit utp and transport overhead. PLUS make sure to set upload limit to somewhere around 37kB/s for 8mb streamyx. limiting them too low will cripple the speed.

the good thing about this router is that i can actually play online games with manageable latency (still increase but not much) while max speed torrenting. very nice!

is there any tips n tricks for this router? i disabled the 5g option since i dont have any capable devices. sad.gif

Haven't flash to that yet as from what I've read, if the device dies while using BETA firmware, warranty is void.

Hi brucesss, the Maxis IPTV that you refer to is the Astro B.yond IPTV? If yes, can you try check with the Maxis? Because if they are same with TIME which is also provide Astro B.yond IPTV, they will have a decoder, all you need it to provide Internet connection only.

Thank you

to recap,
if router comes with 2.x firmware, reset first, then flash the 3.x firmware.
should i reset again after flashing?

use the setup wizard and select unifi from the dropdown, enter my ppoe id/pw as usual

is that right?

thanks!
