Hi Asus,
I own a RTN13U router, used on my unifi with IPTV. It keeps on hanging randomly, & especially when I boot up my windows 7 PC. Do you have a solution for this ? This post has been edited by jex-koi: May 28 2013, 09:18 AM |

QUOTE(jex-koi @ May 28 2013, 09:17 AM) Hi Asus, If not mistaken, Asus have stopped support RT-N13U and RT-N13U.B1 quite some time ago. Asus firmware are quite unstable, I would suggest you to try OpenWrt or DD-WRT customs firmware.I own a RTN13U router, used on my unifi with IPTV. It keeps on hanging randomly, & especially when I boot up my windows 7 PC. Do you have a solution for this ? The steps are quite similar for RT-N13U and b1, you can try read it here. For the firmware, it could be different due to different flash memory size. B1 have 8mb else 13U only 4mb. Good luck. |

Hi , over the few months usage of the RT-N16 , Firmware
(Version 3.0.0.4.260). I'm experiencing very slow connection and frequent disconnection with unifi . And hence I resort using back the crappy DIR-615 , and there are no problems surfaced compared to my RT-N16. Any chance for my RT-N16 to be facing some issues? Edit : I tried using other firmwares , same problems occurs. ( Timeouts , frequent disconnection , slow speed. ) This post has been edited by uGinn: May 28 2013, 03:23 PM |

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ May 28 2013, 03:31 PM) Hi uGinn, Any chance of the problems comes from the heat issue? It is pretty hot after using it for several hours continuously without any cooling. The problem still occur even after you updated the firmware to the latest and factory reset the RT-N16, you can send the unit for warranty claim. Thank you |

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ May 28 2013, 03:55 PM) Hi jex-koi, Hi muncheno, thanks for the info. Will definitely try it. Hope to use the Asus router, as it is currently a sitting-duck after 3 months of purchasing it. wouldn't want to waste the $ spent on it.Have you try update the latest firmware from the website? 2.0.2.5o. http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/...3U_B1_2025o.zip Thank you Hi AsusMy, thanks for your response, but i will try the other solution first. just to add, I have contacted your customer support a few times, but as usual, being 'thrown' around and then the 'silent' treatment. Good to have you on the forums. This post has been edited by jex-koi: May 29 2013, 01:44 PM |
