Hi ASUSmy

To configure 87ac as the AP, please indicate clearly of all required steps and settings for success. The upper floor 87ac cannot communicate with Technicolor located on the group floor. How to commucate by wifi method without a super long impractical ethernet wire, as a way to complete the loop of a good service support. Thanks.

On the previous querry:
Why am I not detecting 600Mbps 2.4GHz N mode radio, but 450Mbps (40MHz) and 216.7Mbps (20MHz) speed, using Acrylic wifi analyzer? Is it one of the 4 antenna system is faulty? 87ac router is designed for 1734 Mbps AC + 600Mbps N, right?
*
Hi lau6311,

You can refer to below link on how to set the router as repeater.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCdjohbHDO4

As for the 600Mbps, your USB device need to support Turbo QAM only you will see the data rate up ro 600Mbps. Not sure your software able to see it or not but you can see it at the "Wireless Network Connection Status"

Thank you

Hi nigelkee,

No you no need to select anything from ISP profile. Just select PPPoE the user name and password.

Thank you

Just bought RT-N14UHP and already pissed off by this router on this message
"Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-N14UHP.
To access the settings of RT-N14UHP, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number."

Everytime the setup finished and quit router setting, when i try to connect to router setting again, the message pop out and I need to reset to factory setting again in order to connect to router setting. Both Wireless or Wired Cable give me the same problem when try to connect to router setting.

What is the problem exactly? Router Bug? I been configure myself many router from other brand, but only this RT-N14UHP, which i decided to give Asus a shot, now give me most headache. doh.gif

Thank you

If anyone is having an issue with the Yes GO 4G USB dongle, it only worked once I updated the firmware to a special version given by ASUSmy.

RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4_378_3926-g9ef86ae.trx

Dear ASUSmy,

I have been trying for a couple days to connect the Yes GO 4G USB to the RT-AC68U but have not been successful.

If I connect the Yes GO dongle to my laptop, I can connect fine to the Yes network using the 'username' (without the "@yes.my") and password.

I tried different combinations 'username' only and 'username@yes.my' in the AC68U configuration and the password, but all didn't work.

I updated the firmware to the latest 3.0.0.4.378_3873.

The Network Map screen on the AC68U identifies the Yes GO dongle as "GCT Semiconductor, Inc. M-WiMAX Network Adaptor".

The VID for LAN port 4 has been removed and is left blank.

Hi ASUSmy, it doesn't seem that there is a solution for this which is quite frustrating. I have now reverted to using my unifi residential gateway for PPPOE, NAT DHCP and VLAN tagging and the ASUS RT-N18U in AP mode which seems a real waste of what is not a cheap piece of equipment.

Hi ASUSmy,

I been a user for Asus RT-n66U since Feb 2013 and has been very satisfied with the product until last month. My router not able to switch on at all but the blue led on the power adapter still lid, but no response on the router when I pressed the power button.

I checked the service center for Asus in Penang and went to the one in e-gate, all type of service provided as shown in the website. After wait for 20 mins, the worker incharge told me I have to send to the seller, then seller send to distributor to claim warranty, they don't accept router warranty claim from end user. I bought the router online from KL send to penang, paid RM19 to send the router to seller + RM40 for after sales warranty claim for product bought > 1 year. Then today got the router back, finally able to turn on earlier this morning, and just now at night suddenly turn off and no longer able to power on again. I'm pretty pissed off now and is there any easier process for warranty claim such that I can submit to any authorized service center in Penang?

Hi Braxton,

Yes, you can set it at WAN->WAN DNS Setting-> select Connect to DNS Server automatically as No.

And yes, you able to use this router with TIME fibre.

Thank you

Hello Asus MY Team,

I hope you could recommend a router, based on the following condition.
1-It is only a WIFI/LAN Router which the UNIFI Modem will connect through LAN Port of the Router
2-I need to able to dedicate/limit WIFI Bandwidth to certain WIFI/LAN Users.
3-Optional though best if have, USB Printer Support
4-Optional Gigabit LAN

Thanks you,

Hi ystan91BEZSRD1,

Currently we still not fully support the Maxis IPTV yet, but we are in the midst of testing it now. Hopefully can get it done soon.

We only have beta firmware for RT-N66U and RT-AC66U.

Thank you
