Hi Asus,
I'm using the RT-N18U as a replacement for the Unifi Residential Gateway but I am unable to get Hypp TV to work reliably.
When using the Unifi Residential Gateway Hypp TV works normally with no lags, however, when I use the RT-N18U with the IPTV setting on and connecting the set top box to LAN port 4, the connection seems to be very jerky and I get a very choppy video with very frequent and long dropouts.
The router came pre-loaded with the latest firmware.
Please advise if anyone else is having this problem and how it can be overcome.
Thanks!

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jan 6 2015, 10:54 AM) Hi bambazoon, I assume your current firmware is 3.0.0.4.376_2678 which is latest on the website. Can you try do a factory reset and see the problem still persist or not. And beside the HyppTV, may i know is streaming video from web will face this problem or not? Thank you Hi. Yes. I updated the firmware and performed a factory reset but i am still getting the problem. It works at first for about 10-20 seconds but then after that it times out. I did not have this problem when I was using the TM provided residential gateway.

I'm able to view apple trailers and youtube videos on my computers and devices.

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jan 9 2015, 06:35 PM) Hi bambazoon, Would like to need your help to test the IPTV using the LAN port 3. Log in to the router then go to LAN -> IPTV -> Select ISP Profile -> Select Manual At the LAN Port 3 put in the value 600 at the VID and apply. Delete the VID 600 from the LAN port 4. Plug the IPTV cable to LAN port 3 and test again. Thank you Hi. When I change to LAN port 3 and change to manual etc.I get stuck on the "EPG loading... Please wait" screen. After awhile it goes to "The page cannot be displayed. ErrorCode: 108005. The page cannot be displayed. Please reboot Set-Top Box. If problem persists, please call 1300 881221 for assistance." I tried rebooting the router and the set top box and still get the same problem.

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jan 12 2015, 11:35 AM) Hi bambazoon, May I ask, is the VID in LAN port 4 also changed to the VID in LAN port 3 at the IPTV section? Thank you The VID for LAN port 4 has been removed and is left blank.

I have now reverted to using my unifi residential gateway for PPPOE, NAT DHCP and VLAN tagging and the ASUS RT-N18U in AP mode which seems a real waste of what is not a cheap piece of equipment.
