Hi asusmy,

Would like to check with you the problem im facing on my printer on share printer feature on ac-rt66u.
I connected my printer thru router usb port using canon mg5570. I seldom switch on my printer. Only switched it on when i need to use printing. I found out that the router detected the printer but in my pc network connected using lan cable showing my printer is in offline or grey out icon.
Therefore the solution im currently doing is to reboot the router so that the printer to be able to print and the icon is not grey out anymore after rebooting router.

Hi KIntos,

May I know what is the current firmware you using? You can try update the firmware to the latest and try again.

sad. today suddenly my ac-rt66u shutdown itself. scaring shit out of me. i tot the router is burnt or power adapter spoil since i checked no led lit.

after few step troubleshoot, found out the power button mechanical failure and the spring forced the switch into permanent switched off position.

luckily youtube user also encounter this problem and look like its common issue since N66u model. the power button switch is the tradisional mechanical hook design and its design prone is over the time/ frequent usage will caused the hook out of position or plastic hook holder chipped off.

before modified the switch (the blue color mechanical switch is the power button)

after i removed the spring and put the switch into permanent switched ON position.

I have this same issue as well and my router is already past warranty period.

I didn't open up the router to fix though.

All I did was to use a few rubber bands and encircle the on/off button to keep it depressed. Job done! (But I have to replace the rubber bands every now and then as they will eventually break apart due to heat).

Haha then use my method better rather keep changing rubber band. Maybe will modified a fan keep the temperature stay lower all the time

Hi KIntos,

Our support list don't have this brand and models for this printer. But you can follow the step show on the link below to do the setup. Do make sure the notebook or PC have the printer driver installed first.

Hi. I need some some advise here.

I have ac86u as main, ac68u or 66u as a repeater.
Both repeater connected to ac86u thru 5ghz.

Somehow my xiaomi a1 keep getting wifi signal disconnection every 30sec once connected to repeater ssid or main unit ssid.

IOS phone no such issue. Only happened on xiaomi a1.

Bro, since you have all high-end router with you, you use try on AiMesh instead of used them as repeater. What a waste.

Upgrade all your router FW.
Setup a main router, then from main router you can add the others routers.
