Did you do any online transaction?

I plan to use it on Google Play Store. This makes me to consider want to use the AMEX or not since so many fraud case.

I read the first post saying that:

If you do not have a Current or Savings Account with Maybank but you want a Maybank2U online account to check your Maybankard 2 Cards transactions, you need to go to a Maybank branch to get it done. Better that you inform the officer that you want the Maybankard 2 Visa or MasterCard as the main account and add your Maybankard 2 Amex to it. However if you want your Maybankard 2 Amex to be the main card for the account, when you first log in to register username add 0 to the 15 digits of your Amex card.

So in order to register Maybank2U account, go to the counter is the only way right?
Today i try go to the Maybank atm click for Maybank2U registration, it ask me to key in PIN number, but i don't know what is my card pin number.

you need to get assistance from the officer, he/she will help you to open and link up

Hi guys, do u facing any problem payment through Paypal with Malaysia seller ( means pay with Ringgit Malaysia curreny ) with Amex?

just to update you guys. The credit card application can be done (get in 1 hour) on any day (including Sunday) if you apply before 7pm.

AmEx linked PayPal account doesn't accept MYR.

Opps, my bad, when i asking Paypal their also said don accept MYR, he said better ask the seller convert the invoice to USD. haha

i just made a payment using Amex card with AUD600. Is it worth to do so or i should use Mastercard instead?

Standard Chartered Personal JustOne Account will no longer give 2% interest anymore starting next month. The interest for JustOne Personal Savings Account has been revised down to 0.25%. Not too sure about the bonus interest though. Anyway, anything regarding savings account, please go to the dedicated M2U or the savings account thread ( refer to Gen-X's post).


Depends, if you have not used up your weekend 5% cash back limit and your transaction is captured by the system today (Saturday) and not as Friday, then MBB2 AMEX is a better choice. Otherwise, MBB MasterCard is definitely cheaper.

now already past my anniversary month, but GST still not being charged to my card.
is it normal for them to charge late, after card anniversary?
can i request to redeem point before it is charged..

Do you mean GST redemption using your Treatpoint?
Redemption only can be made after the GST had been charged.

I have been asked about this question to the staff from 1u outlet, she told me that we cannot redeemed it early before GST charge.

Because there has a number to be refer for GST charged, so that they will use that refer number to be redeem from your point.

Not sure how's the process now, if request redeem before GST charged, it will only be redeem this year of GST, but not for next GST.

Please correct me if I'm wrong information given.

just got maybank2card yesterday. instead of platinum, they just issue me gold card even I met the min requirement for platinum. T.T Nway, still happy since this is my 1st credit card

It doesn;t matter, Gold card also having 5% cashback and 5X TP in weekend.

Some questions:

1. If use maybankard amex for interest free installment plan on a weekend, will get 5% cash back or not?
2. If use maybankard amex for interest free installment plan, will get 5x treatpoints or not?

Tried to use my amex to book a hotel in Penang, hotel payment website is linked to maybank but keeps going into error page. And the price went up from Rm110 to RM140 due to my multiple attempts. Called maybank and they told me to add a 0 to the 15 digits amex card, retried also cannot.

Checked with Agoda's maybank mastercard plus 6% discount, price is Rm151 after discount. So guys what do u all suggest? Wait till later & try again or proceed with master card 6% discount rate?

What a let down as I thought I could use the amex for the 5% cash back and 5x TP.
