U will only get the sms stating that the card was used, no confirmation sms or whatsoever.

It'll only appear on your M2U after MAS claim the charges, which occurs 1-2 day later. So if u have received the itenary from MAS, it means the transaction went through.

Statement can only be checked monthly. And as for the dateline it's usually 20 days after your statement is issued. And yes it'll be all grouped in your monthly statement.

Just opened an m2u savers account i this morning after getting some advices from bro gen-x.

I called maybank customer center to confirm the type of my savings account as I have 2 types, 1 is a wadiah savings account while the other one shows as savings account. Was told that it is a kawanku savings account and I enquired regarding the minimum balance that I need to keep, was told RM1. Transfered all my funds into the i savers acc and left about RM20 inside the kawanku account.

Now my question is, how do I keep the kawanku acc active so that it won't become dormant?

Tried to use my amex to book a hotel in Penang, hotel payment website is linked to maybank but keeps going into error page. And the price went up from Rm110 to RM140 due to my multiple attempts. Called maybank and they told me to add a 0 to the 15 digits amex card, retried also cannot.

Checked with Agoda's maybank mastercard plus 6% discount, price is Rm151 after discount. So guys what do u all suggest? Wait till later & try again or proceed with master card 6% discount rate?

What a let down as I thought I could use the amex for the 5% cash back and 5x TP.

U can apply for their mastercard only. The 2 cards come as one and why would u choose master over amex? Amex has much more benefits if compared to maybank mastercard

Tried to request for temporary increase of credit limit this morning as I wanted to pay my wife's insurance with the amex but was told by the CS it's only possible if under emergency situations. Now i've to pay my bills earlier in order to swipe the full amount.

Problem is to fill up a form I would have to go to the branch and then it'll take time. I only have the time to pay the bill today. Anyway doesn't really matter as great eastern doesn't accept AMEX. Sigh, there goes the TPs.

CS told me only possible for emergency situations like hospital admissions, or stranded in a foreign land. Guess yours fall into that stranded in foreign land category.

I just checked on agoda maybank's site and found out that the 6% discount is still valid for the maybank master/visa card. Planning to book a hotel in macau for 2 nights and I get to save about 40USD approx.

I remember someone saying before there are cheaper rates offered by another website if compared to agoda. Anyone mind sharing which site it is?

Yeah, I asked them before. According to them, as amex merchants they have to pay extra as compared to VISA/Mastercard.

On a side note, mixed up my rebate cycle, thought it is the same as my billing cycle, so this month only got RM3 rebate, as I swiped my card on 31st march in a hotel, which I thought that transaction rebate will go into April's rebate but it was actually given under March's rebate. Wasted..

Usually I pay for my both cards separately as their total outstanding amount will not be combined together.

IBG now is only RM0.10, shouldn't be a problem anymore I guess?
