Hi,

I've just purchased the seasonic 860w as i plan to do sli in the future. This is the first time I've use a modular psu.

My question is, does it matter which pci-e socket I connect the pci-e cable to. There's 3 pci-e socket including 1 pci-e/cpu socket. Which one should I use?

Here's a picture to help illustrate my problem.

The 3 PCI-e slots are probably enough for normal 3 way SLI already. The leftover 1 pci-e/cpu is just in case ur graphic cards or cpu require more power by using extra 4, 6 or 8pin connectors.

guys - just to clarify.

As long as PSU has detachable cables, they're MODULAR PSU.

Semi-modular PSU are still MODULAR PSU, just as Full-modular PSUs are.

smile.gif Please don't ever go around saying Semi-modular is not modular.

In the past, it's always been called modular. Just that with recent development - 2 new terms appeared - SEMI Modular / FULL Modular to differentiate those with ATX cable being detachable.

Yes, but you are pushing it a bit. Pushing a cap ayam unit is a bad move though. I'd suggest you to get a quality unit first. The FSP Hexa/Corsair CX500 should make it fine.

Please don't spread news here if you don't have any proof. Since you are Rosewill PSU distributor, personally, i got the feeling u r trying to spoil your competitor's brand here.

As i know you like to do parallel import too, if bro here want to know more, you can pm Bitfenix and SilverStone distributor.

Some Hardware Hardcore FaceBook Fans told me "GB***" and "Cy****T***" are same people, Don't know whether is true but from the way you reply, i start believe it tongue.gif

This is according to my various sources in TW too.

If we want to spoil competitor's brands, we don't need to use words, there are many ways to do it. On the contrary, one of those two whom you mentioned has tried a futile method in damaging our brands but instead killing their own, pretty hilarious actually. Consumers are not as stupid these days. They know how to read reviews and make decision based on that and also on pricing.

Rosewill OEMs from Superflower, Sirfa, HiPower. Rosewill itself is not as popular as Seasonic and will never get better pricing than factory-direct-sale brands anyway.
