It suddenly blew up. I'm a bit dissappointed, i thought fsp is very reliable. Hydro G pro atx 3.0 is really a good balance in connectors.

FSP is a reliable OEM brand, my HV Pro been running since 2022 til now, but I guess things happen and maybe theres other factors as high end PSU have lotsa protection b4 it can blow. Was the PC connected to a UPS or AVR?

I can fully trust FSP. I still have FSP Hexa 500W still going strong on low power rig. Using FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000W on my main rig.

All brands, even good ones can have faulty units. My Cooler Master V650 V2 which was a Tier A+ unit ended up faulty within 1 month of use sweat.gif
Eventually the retailer did a full refund sweat.gif

Yup looks like i had a lemon unit, so unlucky. Btw an update, i chose super flower leadex 3 atx 3.1 as it has 4x pcie 6+2pins connectors. Nowadays even rx 9070 xt need 3x pcie. Pray that it last long.

I'm still using a seasonic ssr 750 fx gold plus. Still 2 years or so left on the total 10 year warranty. I still used it for my new am5 build

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/season...d-psu,5206.html

Quality build and lasted pretty well no issue

Radeon rx7800xt is fine with the old connector without issue. For Nvidia 5070ti would I bother replace psu for a modern 850 watt. But since not upgrading graphic card, and still 2 year left on PSU warranty, no reason to replace yet

For my truenas server I bought the seasonic gx 750 psu

Can 1st Player NGDP Gold 850W work for rtx 970? The connector is too thin for the GPU or I am doing something wrong?

From your PSU, use the PCIE connectors, it should be 6+2 pin sockets, breakout the optional 2pin for both and it should look like the left pic. The connector on the right is 12pin 12VHWPR nvidia connector only for RTX 4000 & 5000 & future family.

You might wanna replace that GPU soonish as it receives last drivers by end of Oct and quite soon will be unsupported by apps such as latest games.
