Can you suggest a better, more reputable and reliable psu?

Current PSU - Xigmatek X-Calibre 500W 80+ PSU

I have been told and read review that the PSU is of a bad quality. I plan upgrades next year, add ram, overclock the CPU and maybe upgrade graphics card.

My current pc build

AMD Ryzen 1600 CPU
asus prime b350-plus Mobo
8GB DDR4 2400mhz Ram
ASUS GTX1050TI Expedition OC 4GB GPU
Xigmatek X-Calibre 500W 80+ PSU
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD

I wanted to ask

Are my power supply readings bad?

My PC crashes;
Blue Screen of Death
Gaming Crash
Windows Crash
PC hang out of no where (frozen)
Errors during stress test

Hardware monitor ITE IT87
Voltage 0 1.17 Volts [0x49] (CPU VCORE)
Voltage 1 3.20 Volts [0xC8] (+3.3V)
Voltage 3 4.76 Volts [0xB1] (+5V)
Voltage 4 11.39 Volts [0xB2] (+12V)
Voltage 7 4.65 Volts [0xAD] (+5V VCCH)
Temperature 0 67 degC (152 degF) [0x43] (CPU)
Temperature 1 48 degC (118 degF) [0x30] (Mainboard)

Is my 12v voltage bad? Its 11.33~11.49v

Using a Corsair CS750M, which has more than enough power to power my 300w system

Yeah, your 12V is out of spec. 5% is the maximum for ATX spec. I suggest you send it for warranty or buy a better PSU.

Hi sifus, I built a gaming pc few weeks ago and got a vs550 psu. It makes squeaking noise for a while when booting up and sometimes squeaks when performing certain tasks (or randomly). May I know if this is normal?

What kind of noise? Mind taking a video about this problem?

Perhaps this is something like coil whine or a fan noise issue hmm.gif

WTA, is it possible to change the fan in FSP SFX 450w Bronze power supply? It's so noisy.

600W is minimum recommended by Nvidia. I suggest getting at least 700W if u plan to add even more disks. Get better PSU as well. Silverstone is not that good anymore. Corsair CX or better, Seasonic, Super Flower and EVGA are the examples.

For your information, Silverstone's quality is better than Seasonic and it will not lose to other brands too.
The RMA cases is lower than Seasonic.

That is one thing. Charging the price almost as same as other brand but the electrical performance is just nothing special is ridiculous. Especially with Super Flower around. Corsair is overpriced but they mean business when it comes to quality. Their latest revision is up there.

Super Flower is pretty much one of the best - if not the best PSU makers around. icon_idea.gif

EVGA even rebrands some of Super Flower units as their own icon_idea.gif
