QUOTE(Oyaji @ Jun 10 2017, 10:46 PM) Hi guys, My corsair RM750i just died. Lucky for me I still have my corsair TX650 V2. I want to know since my dead PSU already passed 1 year do I still need to send to viewnet for RMA or direct to corsair? i have experienced this before. talked to cudo (corsair local distro). cudo asked me to send it to shop, not cudo.hence, send to viewnet |

Guys, be aware of EVGA...NOT recommended by tomshardware due to safety hazard related unless issue cleared by EVGA. Both from B3 series.

QUOTE(audiocool @ Jul 28 2017, 07:56 AM) few years back, always heard about Cooler Master PSU.. Now so many brands EVGA (previously only Graphics Card in Malaysia), Corsair, Seasonic, Flower, Silverstone..... Still using cooler master 700W since 2013, it is still working fine. QUOTE(goldfries @ Jul 28 2017, 09:48 AM) I am using the same thing and it's working fine despite having bought it few years back.I have a question though. I have been thinking of building a new rig right from scratch and I have concern whether I should keep using the same PSU which is still working fine or buy a new one. I have been to pc shop and they recommended to change to a new one like Acbel which is cheaper and rather good performance. Should I change or stick to the working one? |

The sales person will always ask you to upgrade or change... else how they earn money I have a question though. For PSU, if it can still support the mobo, graphic card, then I will not change |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Oct 5 2017, 01:35 PM) I am using the same thing and it's working fine despite having bought it few years back. I just upgrade most of the components (processor, mobo, RAM, Liquiq cooler, graphics cards) and I still using the same power supply and casing that I bought in few years back.I have a question though. I have been thinking of building a new rig right from scratch and I have concern whether I should keep using the same PSU which is still working fine or buy a new one. I have been to pc shop and they recommended to change to a new one like Acbel which is cheaper and rather good performance. Should I change or stick to the working one? 2 things to consider if you need to upgrade your power supply: - if your current power supply cannot supply enough power to the components you going to upgrade - if you plan to upgrade also graphic card (GTX 1080) that using 8 pins, and you power supply only have 6 pins then you have reason for upgrade. |

Can you suggest a better, more reputable and reliable psu?
Current PSU - Xigmatek X-Calibre 500W 80+ PSU I have been told and read review that the PSU is of a bad quality. I plan upgrades next year, add ram, overclock the CPU and maybe upgrade graphics card. My current pc build AMD Ryzen 1600 CPU asus prime b350-plus Mobo 8GB DDR4 2400mhz Ram ASUS GTX1050TI Expedition OC 4GB GPU Xigmatek X-Calibre 500W 80+ PSU Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD This post has been edited by Lumiaaa: Oct 22 2017, 11:07 PM |
