hey, im a real fan of athrun's gundams..but i havent seen an MG or PG for any of his gundams. i think im gonna get 1/100 HG Aegis thru young_soul. somehow justice didnt look so nice. weird..SF looks nice, but seems like they slacked on the justice..

For sub RM100 prices, you'll probably be limited to only 1/144 HG kits I think. Most 1/100 MG kits cost more than RM100 if I'm not mistaken.

If your brother hasn't watched any of the Gundam series, then it wouldn't matter which kit you get, asal cantik cukup lah!

I prefer the Justice though. The Aegis is too "pointy" for my liking.

If is like that then you will be limited to the 1/144 HG, cause even the NG model will cost you around 125+ at the model shops around Bukit Bintang.
If your brother got watch the version of Gundam SEED that show on malaysia TV channel, then any one of the from that era will do the thing, sure he will like it very much.

i wouldn't recommend the 1/100 Aegis as i heard he's not stable because of the transformation....but of course its up to u as for i'd prefer the HG 1/144

on the other hand, it seems like justice's colors looks more lively than aegis.

in seed he was main actor also ma...like co-main actor.
im looking forward to IJ! but the unpainted one from the earlier posts looks WAYYY better than the 1/100 just now.

Hey guys, I saw on DC's shop that if you buy a set of 1/100 Destiny Gundam and 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam, you can get both for RM198. Is that worth it? How are these two kits? Are the proportions nice?

Oh, they also have Chaos Gundam and Force Impulse Gundam (both 1/100) going for RM168 if you buy both. How come so cheap ah? These kits are not nice or what? O_O

Because they don't sell, given how GSD was teh suck after the first 12 episodes.

Whatever you do, DO NOT WANT the 1/100 Strike Freedom. It's made of fat and short legs, crap proportions, and obviously rushed job to cash in on a model kit based on its short spanned popularity.

Chaos and Force Impulse are good (though it would be much moar superior if it's for Sword Impulse). Get them. Chaos has the best design I've seen in GSD, apart from Windams and the newly designed ZAKU(s).

LOL okay, and here I thought the Strike Freedom looked okay. XD

Yeah I was thinking of the Chaos and FI combo too. Hmm...well, if I decide to drop in tomorrow I'll get those.

And yes, the Sword Impulse and the Windams are nice.

Argh 1/100 Destiny Ltd Edition (what is this? O_O) and 1/100 Zaku Warrior Blaze/Gunner combo for RM218.

PhotoElement is the cut down version of Adobe PhotoShop and from what I can tell virtually any decent digi-cam package come with one.

That Goat shot is something I've done in few minutes of fiddling after installing the software on my notebook. I'm going to try the some composite with different layers - not sure PhotoElement support the multiple layers though - and voila! digital diorama...

for marker removal, was told you could use eraser though never tried as I prefer the just draw the line in thin'd enamel and wipe out the excess using thinner soaked cotton bud...

actually I believe you are referring to 1/12 HY2M Zaku?
here's 1/24 scale HY2M Gundam as well.
Don't think that is resin - that would make the thing weigh tons

from what I heard 1/12 Zaku is more or less the statue that you need minimum assembly for display while 1/24 Gundam is fully posable - similar to PG in terms of posability - plastic kit that you need to assemble just like MG/PG though with much bigger parts. Fully assembled 1/24 Gundam is about 80 cm in height - little but smaller than my 2yo kid (yes I have one)

and there's 1/144 EX line usually for smaller fighter and what not featured in Gundam universe... i.e. Gundam Trailer seen at the beginning of origianl kidousenshi Gundam TV series for example.

The pen that most ppl using is the Gundam Marker GM01 (fine tip), can get from XL-Shop for RM9.90.

For the colouring, not so expert, i'm oso new , but got those Colour Gundam Marker set available oso. Dun think the colour is nice, coz it looks like u juz splash some ink on it. There r also some paint (lacquer paint???) that u can get from TAMIYA shop...i think these r specially for modelling.

DO NOT PAINT I tried it on a normal grade Saviour just for testing and it sucks. Gundam Markers are the best. But they're selling at a ridiculus price of 60-70 bucks

If you think you'll be buying moar model kits 10 years down the line, get an airbrush. It's god's gift for modellers :p
