I guess the launching is really drawing near otherwise sellers won't slash price daily to attract potential buyers :-)

With passing of each day, of course is closer to launching. DUH

But now, it seems Samsung is still testing water. And it is icy cold.

Many ppl are anticipating the arrival of the most eagerly awaited phone in history to Malaysia.
Telcos, all of them are preparing for the massive sales.

If Samsung starts selling now, the response may just be limited to a few geeks and nerds.
But if launch later, the situation might be so much worst.

Good point. I believe they are just waiting for the absolute time to launch it. Remember that the more people wait, the more talks there will be and there will also be more sales for Samsung themselves.

iPhone users will get the iPhone, Note2 is not for everyone rclxub.gif

Labelling Note2 users as geeks and nerds is just typical of Apple and Apple users who thinks owning the iPhone is the coolest thing.

Times have changed man, Apple is still selling shit loads of iPhones but others are catching up, just look at the sheer number of S3s out there.

Some people are just content living in the past. A slightly different shell but the same bloody row of icons tongue.gif

from sales point of view the latest launching period must before iphone 5 announcement. maybe in june or july.

samsung brand loyalty is quite weak. many ppl who buy are just follow trend and latest commercials.
only a small group of die-hard geek and nerd fanbase.

...

anyway if really samsung malaysia got stock, then shld launch it immediately now. and price must be 2099, not more.

i agree with this. But its hard to say whether launching before or after the i5 is better. After, is of course not good. But just a week before the i5 means the note 2 will only have red hot popularity for a week.

I guess for few weeks, seller will mockup the price around RM100-200. Same like what happen to S3. RRP RM2199, seller sell RM2299-RM2399

That is soft launching .. No stock .. Jz can see only .. The actual want need to wait for samsung to announce to sell is still pending .. Then only can get during the samsung fair after launching .. So wait n see the newspaper to announce the final date..

so means 11th is actually soft launch?!? and then we'll probably have to wait 1-2 weeks for the "go ahead" by SME to let the vendors start selling?!? my gawd... shocking.gif shakehead.gif doh.gif

speaking of AP sets... i was doing a search on the warranty by this AP company... and the results aren't that good. see:

i know... could be just 1 person out of the million others who are satisfied customer...

but what irked me is that the receipt was allegedly changed...

I think i5 & Note 2 are 2 different market segments. Don't think they are in direct competition.
Product sales launch is not a big issue to them. Market share is pretty much predetermine by
screen size as well as personal preference between fruit & robot.

So those who rooted/cwm installed through odin can wipe clean the flash record

iphone users in Malaysia based on this report is only 0.46% of population. Many users think iphone base is large because they are in KL where most the iphone users are.
In the iphone 5 thread you can read how angry and disturbed those iphone users are about late launching in Msia - i have pointed out that Malaysia is only a very small market for Apple - even with not a single set sold here; - to Apple is not an important issue. Comparatively Spore commands a 8.4% share vs its population. Those iphone users rants as if they are so important customer base fro Apple, which unfortunately is not

The current root and CWM method is even more simple than flashing using Chainfire method. Just use odin and flash a single file - you get root n CWM. CWM works well - i have tested backup and restore - perfect without any issue
