Anyone here have experience with Gorrila Glass 2 being scratched? Planning to go naked or you think it's crazy especially if i use the stylus a lot? If yes need, is the RM15 Nillkin Clear Screen Protector good enough or it's typical rainbowy type...any alternative good one i can get asap?

If only use SPen..sure no scratch on the naked screen as the pen tip is only plastic. It might scratch your SP thou in long term if you use SP.
But sand..different story. SP or naked..both scratch one
*
thanks, ok la i ll go naked coz the screen is so beautiful to be covered with cheap SP...maybe buy later or something when i go to beach biggrin.gif . Ya I remembered long time ago i went to beach with another new phone, all freaking scratched even though super careful, sands are nasty thing that can go anywhere one...

damn...this phone is so fast especially web browsing...

downloading UK firmware to flash later to get multi-window, can't wait!

Looking at your Android buying history, will you be buying the LG Optimus G NEXUS with Android 4.2 and 13MP camera that supposed to be on GNOTE2 but all stock sapu early by LG too?

I may justify it first from d early adopters review. if d feedback is good then, ill decide later if wanna get it or not. i believe more in samsung brand more than any others. and i think its hard for me to change to lg nexus phone if justify based on specs (13 mp camera n nexus gen) as note2 is unique on its own class and had very good battery life. i do mind about productivity when choosing phone. nway, its too early too think bout it as theres no enough evidence theres LG nexus phone will come out to market....  smile.gif
*
for me, i was thinking either getting GNOTE2 or wait for the next Nexus. I always prefer stock Android and I don't like any of those skins (SenseUI, TouchWiz) but the GNOTE 2 is for once is different and i applaud Samsung for their effort in adding real value with the apps like S-Pen. The other reason is the NEXUS will never have a screen this size and the bigger the better for me since I hardly use phone but only reading, productivity works. Third like what you said, battery life.

finished flashing, multi-window goodness rclxms.gif

maybe samsung waiting to clear off remaining old stock coz i still see Galaxy Note 1 billboard on the way to Subang! (That huge billboard at least cost RM50K a month)

for those who can't stand waiting, maybe can download and read the fairly helpful User Digest at Play Store

They've improved TW experience. At least it doesn't have those carrier bloatwares like in US
*
Ya, I'm glad with the improved TW, in fact if you study the UI, you'll see Samsung gone to length to make what users really want. Like the Camera Image Quality settings, of course we want super hires fine quality, compared to other smartphones default. In fact, looking at stock Android on my Nexus 7, it feel a tad bit cold and lifeless like robot..All these small touches and refinement in GN2 are good.

samsung can just pay someone to pay an extra 'II' and turn the billboard into an ad for Note II... biggrin.gif
*
you mean "paint" an extra II on the billboard? don't think so, GN2 is much sexier and curvier tongue.gif

anyway, the one-handed one-sided keyboard feature, though is good, but the keys are tad too small for me, so i revert back to full keyboard.

the reason i must upgrade to note2 now.  hmm.gif

another plus point of this phone esp for those who keep their phone multiple years, where most other phones out there now went for the irreplaceable battery route.

Engadget's review quite matches my thoughts on GN2, most reviews are very positive on Note2 compared to Note1 where everyone made fun of the size.

I think using password is enough for sdcard security unless you have some Goverment official secret inside laugh.gif
*
Without encryption, if you remove the sd card you can read all the card contents on a pc rite?

I was in the same boat as you before.
The titanium grey looks really sexy in photos and in person.
However, there is a very shiny gloss coating, which would mean that scratches will be easily seen.
And when I compared side-by-side between the white and grey, somehow the white looks better to me. IMHO, grey colour is better suited for S3. But of course, personal preference. biggrin.gif
*
Colors are really a subjective matter, what i'll be sharing in the spoiler is why the white>grey to me personally, doesn't apply to everyone of course, just sharing to those who yet to buy and cant decide.

I usually will sign up a 12 month plan with maxis to get a cheaper phone and I ll be paying monthly data anyway. And I'm the lazy type who never bother survey and compare other telcos and jump ship every six months when got better offer and mess up all the billing again.

I've finally encrypted my SD card with a slightly more cumbersome 6 letters password. The reason I did that is because I would like my wife to enjoy browsing my 1-year old photos from when he is born to now all on the big screen whenever she want...so thousands of photos and videos. If I lost the phone, an unencrypted sd card will allow all those private photos be accessed on the PC. The phone I didn't encrypt because not much sensitive info and all tied to google account which I can reset password remotely. Camera will save first direct to internal memory in case the encrypted card is slower. But so far browsing the thousand over photos are as smooth as without encryption.

guys
need some answers
why is there a red light on the right top of the phone
next to the speaker between the front camera
what is that light? it keeps turning on

You have enabled quick glance. Goto settings> motion> disable quick glance. Great concept but implementation abit cacat now, too slow n drain battery

On file transfer from pc, I think WIFI transfer will depends on your broadband speed and may not be faster than usb cable. For my lousy unifi, cable always is faster. I ve transfered GB of videos using KIES for mac in MTP mode since Android File Transfer no longer works. its fairly fast even to my encrypted SD card.
