i have also look into the same link before posting here. But the the first page of this thread state that ones can stay in sg for job hunting for 60 days out of every 90 days. So i wonder if this apply to EP cancellation employee as well.

60 days out of 90 days, but only maximum of 30 days in one stretch (as would be stamped on the white card). You can exit on day 30, and come back in, and be given another (up to) 30 days white card. Once that one is expired, you gotta wait 30 days outside of singapore before coming back in. exact numbers might be off a bit but you get the picture.

There is always people asking "Can I survive with this salary" from time to time. I am sure you can find the answer you want on google.

Quick answer, yes. I am earning less than you do and I can save at least $2K per month. It really depends on your spending.

Is Petrus any good?
I've been to none of GR restaurant.
But I like his clean sharp food presentation though.
My favourite is still Tetsuyas in Sydney Australia and surprisingly Guy Savouy at MBS. The truffle artichoke black truffle soup is heavenly!

I haven't been to any of the top restaurants here in SG cos of the frankly prohibitive prices. Petrus, in contrast, I paid just £33.75 for set lunch (starter, main, dessert + complimentary amuse bouche, 2 side dishes, pre-dessert and petit fours). amazing value even after conversion to sgd considering any of the top places here would be at least 3digit.

Food was good, service exemplary.

Just only you are not graduate from SG does not mean other people is better than you, but i guess instead of asking the possibility, why not you just apply? try better than don't try. thumbup.gif

I live frugally. I stay on the outskirt sharing a room with a friend, my rent is below 300. Transport/mobile phone expenses all covered by company. I try to keep my meal expenses under $10 daily, so most of the time I'll eat chap fun.

Expenses/month = 300 (Lodging) + 240 (Meals) + 300 (Misc). Yeah thats about it even if I were to add transport/mobile expenses in, they won't cost more than 250. I am young and do not have any commitment. I go back home every weekend in JB to keep my entertainment expenses low.

So if you're talking about surviving, I am sure there are people out there who live more frugal than I do and still doing OK in SG.

Yup, you're right. It is not expensive to live in SG. These information can be easily retrieved from google.

Kindly update us your application outcome. Keen to apply as well. But only next year after I've worked for 6 months.

Hi guys, I'm an Advertising major from UTAR and I hope to be in the marketing field in the future. My grades are average (or above average-ish) but I was involved in a few university event plannings. Got good reviews from my managers during my internship in KL. I'm also quite efficient in graphics, sound and video softwares. Although I'm more interested in marketing side.

So my question is, what are the chances of me getting a job in this field in Singapore with a salary of at least 2.5k? A little high for a fresh grad from Malaysia (and not a very prestigious uni) I think, but my hometown is far away so I might be reluctant to leave home if the pay is not worth it. Or is it wiser for me to work in Malaysia for a few more years to get a better resume first?

Graduating soon, just exploring my options smile.gif

question is, any harm trying?

if you dont apply, you dont have any option, which meant you dont have any choice.
