QUOTE(jason111785 @ Apr 1 2013, 12:35 PM) planning to get a 27" monitor since my samsung T240 KO'ed. U2713 is more for like professional use, people looking for the best tool for colour management work (photographers, videographers, designers, etc). You're getting 100% sRGB and 99% Adobe RGB, both are almost the maximum colour space for each type Looking at eithet dell S2704L or U2713.. I know both are different range.. Practically I will use the LCD for HD movies, PS3, MMO and heavy office workload (power point). Question is, since U2713 is on 2560 x 1440, how does it like when playstation 3 is hooked onto it? 720p and 1080p gaming. Black bars? or downscale? Btw, I think the U2713 is around RM3k? For 27" you can always opt for cheaper panels, such as the S2704L, a Viewsonic monitor I just saw...around RM1k also, Catleap IPS 27" 1600p at around RM1.4k, etc |

QUOTE(corad @ Apr 1 2013, 01:38 PM) Thanks to the coupon posted by Alpha_Tay , got Dell to give me a 10% discount No. Unless u need those extended RGB 110%. Norm 100%-99% will do. Think u seriously check out U2913WMJust need to double check with the sifus here ... Dell U2413 good buy @RM1.8k ? If ure used to the pixel pitch of a 24, this will be happy upgrade. U only loose 120 lines top bottom but u gain more on the sides which is better. |

QUOTE(Vioreth @ Apr 1 2013, 12:51 PM) Just a quick check with you guys. I am using Dell S2340L also but I dont see any issue with it. Maybe it is your Graphic card anomalies. All my settings for 2340L is factory default.I updated my Dell Display Manager this morning to 1.10.0.1285 only for it to cause scan lines on the left side of my S2340L monitor. Not only that, it has somewhat scaled the video output too! Time for a warranty claim? It's barely 2 months old! |

QUOTE(jason111785 @ Apr 2 2013, 12:16 AM) You would have to see it for yourself actually. PPI will definitely be lower than a 1080p on a 23" but you must take viewing distance into account also. If you sit far away, you might not notice the difference than when you're seating closer to the screen Anyway, I remember seeing my friend's 27" 1080p monitor from like a 2 feet distance, still looks ok |

QUOTE(sanik @ Apr 4 2013, 03:29 PM) Can anyone help me to choose between these two LCD monitors? Well, that's 24" vs 22". IMO 24" is bigger and of course better Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP vs LG W2243T As far as i know, Dell wins for its brightness, good warranty but a bit bulky, i mean its thick compare to LG monitor. I have 24" version of that LG monitor. The design look good, the touch interface is nice and all. But the white doesn't look white to me at all even when compared to a normal LED monitor side by side. It has a slight brownish tint at 6.5k color setting. Can't put up with it with my secondary LED monitor beside it, it's too obvious. Will be replacing it soon with new IPS monitor. Anyway just sharing my experience with those older LG monitor, it wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Are you buying it second hand? You might want to try and get the newer LED monitors. If size matters, these LED monitors are much thinner, and generate lesser heat. This post has been edited by Hornet: Apr 5 2013, 12:31 AM |

U2312HM U2913WM S2340L S2740L IPS237L IPS277L or are there any other brands for a good 23-27"? its hard to find 27" with vesa mount... I am using it as dual screen for my laptop. Does 1920x1080 on 27" sucks badly? my viewing distance is around 50-60cm away. |

QUOTE(Zhao @ Apr 10 2013, 02:26 PM) Which monitor to choose? to be honest, as long as the viewing distance is more than 30cm, you shouldnt see any visible pixels U2312HM U2913WM S2340L S2740L IPS237L IPS277L or are there any other brands for a good 23-27"? its hard to find 27" with vesa mount... Does 1920x1080 on 27" sucks badly? my viewing distance is around 50-60cm away. human eyes are not that accurate or sharp to see every single pixel at long distances but yea, itll be more obvious compared to 1080p at 23-24". especially when zooming in |
