Alliance have their own weird criterias of approving credit cards. When I applied for the first time, was rejected too but tried again a year later and was approved recently. Salary was more than 2x the required amount

Ya, strange ...
IS it possible due to having many credit cards on hand?
I am currently having 4 CC,
just cancelled 1 CC last week before applying this new CC.

That is possible. When I applied for the first time, I had a few more credit cards which I subsequently cancelled. If you have any existing balance transfer, that would also affect your application.

In my opinion, each bank has their own way of deciding whether to approve or reject a CC application. Unfortunately, this information is classified, so we can only make guesses about their criteria.
The best you can do to improve you chance of getting approved is to maintain a good credit history. Make sure you pay your credit cards in full every month, and make sure you don't have any outstanding balance on any of your loans (e.g. PTPTN).

However, even with good credit history, it's up to the bank to reject your application, so there is also an element of luck at play.

Yes, you can, though I didn't do it for my card. Refer to the FAQ for more info. http://youniquecard.alliancebank.com.my/Yo...e_faq_v1.0.html

I sent them the redemption form, and today CS called me. It turns out there was a signup promotion when I sign up for the card. I forgot the specifics, but I do vaguely remember that there was one, and the reward is RM100 worth of cash voucher. 42,800 TBP can be used to redeem a RM100 cash voucher (e.g. Giant, Tesco, AEON, etc.), so that's why I got the points.

Would prefer you convert the TBP to Airmiles if you are frequent flyer. The conversion rate is one of the highest among the banks in Malaysia.

Hi I have just got my alliance credit card from ringgitplus approved. I shall wait for the unique code for luggage redemption or call ringgit plus straight away? They will automatically send me the code through sms or how? Thanks.

Hey guys, just want to clarify something about younique's cashback (the table on their site seems a bit ambiguous to me)

So if I buy a phone that's worth 2.1k with the card (and only that transaction for that month), I should be receiving 3% cashback?

Nope.. the cashback is tiered.. so for that purchase, you will get RM23 of cashback.. calculation as follow:

1000 x 0.5% = 5
1000 x 1.5% = 15
100 x 3.0% = 3

Oh really? Thanks!

I thought it could be that too since > 3000 is 0.3% ... but that seemed incredibly low so I thought it couldn't possibly be the case ...

But I currently having 8 different issuer credit card, recently they still approved me with quite high credit limit.

The story was like 1 year ago I applied thru RP but then got rejected. But last week the same agent call me again wanted to submit the application for me again. I just simply agree cuz I feel like bank won't approved me since I have so many cards, and many of them was approved on same year.

Now just curious am I still eligible RP gift to this 2nd time submission, I shall ask my agent then.
