I'm interested to apply for Alliance you:nique. I have a CTOS account and it says I'm eligible for sign up cashback up to RM200.

What's the fastest way to apply for this card? I filled in the form at https://www.alliancebank.com.my/AllianceCreditCards, but I have yet to receive a call from Alliance. I called their CS, and they said to just fill in the application form from their website. I tried searching, and I can't see any application form on their website. hmm.gif

Thanks! Is there a special email I should send this to? Or just send it to info@alliancefg.com?

Is there a RM 200 sign up offer? I am applying the you:nique but I could not find such offer anywhere on the web.  sweat.gif

The promotion is from CTOS. You need to have a CTOS account and have bought a CTOS score before.

Means need to pay rm25+ to get the full ctos report, then only can login to ctos and get 200 rebate?
*
I think so. I got mine for free because of promotion. But I'm not sure if the cashback is RM200, or up to RM200. I'm still in the process of applying for the card.

Did the cs contact you after you send the application form to this email?
*
Yes, they did after a week or so. Then they asked me to refill the form. Probably because I filled it wrong the first time or something.

Business platinum card have 1.25% rebate... RinggitPlus do not have free gift for younique. So I will apply normal Platinum card first. Haha

I'm pretty sure it's only for business. The product disclosure sheet states that you need to submit your business documents when applying for the card.

Also, I just got my You:nique via post today. rclxm9.gif I'll be using this card to pay for my insurance.

Anyone know how to set SMS notification to RM1 for Alliance CC? So that I get notified via SMS even if I use RM1? With other banks, it's as easy as calling the CS. But for Alliance, turns out that they don't provide the service through their CS. I called just now and the person said that I have to fill out a form on their website. This is the form she was referring to: https://www.alliancebank.com.my/ABMB/media/...equest-form.pdf

But upon closer look, it seems like the form has nothing to do with CC.

I'm using Younique (chose Rebate) for 4th years already. AFAIK only this card can get rebate from Jompay payment.
*
I think Maybank 2 Card now can get 5% cashback for any transactions on weekend, which includes Jompay.

I got my cashback for Alliance You:nique. The cashback is by statement, and you only have to round down the total cash back (instead of rounding down the cash back for each transaction like Maybank).

I guess I don't have a lot of commitments yet so I don't get to fully utilise this card, haha.

I use this card for transactions that can't get cash back from other cards, and for one-off large purchases. Usually the card is under utilised and it gets little to no cash back. But last month my sister wanted to purchase a Macbook Pro and was not comfortable bringing 6k of cash to the shop, so she asked for my help. I got RM59 cash back thanks to this card. biggrin.gif

Kinda interested to apply younique card to replace my uob card. Is there any limit for the cb?  What if i spend 20k? Lol
*
No limit. If you spend RM20k, you will get RM50 for the first RM3k, and another RM51 for the next RM17k, for a total of RM101 cash back.
But it's actually better to use Hong Leong Essential to spend RM20k. You'll get RM30 for the first RM5k (0.6%), and another RM150 for the next RM15k (1%), for a total of RM180 cash back.
You:nique is better than HL Essential for cumulative transaction below RM8,715.50. For above that, go for HL Essential.

For some reason, I received exactly 42,800 timeless bonus points according to my August statement for my You:nique rebate card. Is there a promotion I'm not aware of?

Yep, that's why I'm confused. Even the redemption form states that it is not applicable for Rebates card.

I like your graph very much smile.gif
Anyway if TS can spend 20k per month, can consider ocbc cashback cards. Can get rm200 - 202 cashbacks per month.
*
Using which card? According to my calculation, even with OCBC World MasterCard, with 20k spending, you can only get RM126 cash back (RM12 for the first 1k + RM114 for the next 19k).

You are right, my mistake overlooked the first 1k only will get 1%.

Nope, HLB Fortune cash back is capped at RM50 every month.

The best card for huge spending on a single card is HLB Essential. Plus, Essential also has automatic waiver with 12x swipes annually. You can double check by asking at the recommendation thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4161836

yesterday tried to submit my wife details to apply alliance younique card through Comparehero (promo of the 20" and 24" luggage)
and today bank called her and interview and tell her salary not quoalify... sad.gif
i thought younique card just need RM24000 yearly income?
my wife basic 1800 plus fix allowance 200... lol
*
Maybe because it's exactly RM24k? Or maybe they didn't take into account the fixed allowance.
Better to wait until her salary is a bit higher.

I sent them the redemption form, and today CS called me. It turns out there was a signup promotion when I sign up for the card. I forgot the specifics, but I do vaguely remember that there was one, and the reward is RM100 worth of cash voucher. 42,800 TBP can be used to redeem a RM100 cash voucher (e.g. Giant, Tesco, AEON, etc.), so that's why I got the points.

Ya, strange ...
IS it possible due to having many credit cards on hand?
I am currently having 4 CC,
just cancelled 1 CC last week before applying this new CC.
*
In my opinion, each bank has their own way of deciding whether to approve or reject a CC application. Unfortunately, this information is classified, so we can only make guesses about their criteria.
The best you can do to improve you chance of getting approved is to maintain a good credit history. Make sure you pay your credit cards in full every month, and make sure you don't have any outstanding balance on any of your loans (e.g. PTPTN).

However, even with good credit history, it's up to the bank to reject your application, so there is also an element of luck at play.

Yes, you can, though I didn't do it for my card. Refer to the FAQ for more info. http://youniquecard.alliancebank.com.my/Yo...e_faq_v1.0.html

Would prefer you convert the TBP to Airmiles if you are frequent flyer. The conversion rate is one of the highest among the banks in Malaysia.

Unfortunately I don't travel much. sweat.gif Thanks for the info anyway! Will keep this in mind in the future.
