Hi All,

We recommend you to perform Master Reset & change Wi-Fi Name & Password if you are unable to access the internet and your TM Modem light status is on.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform Master Reset.
1. Using a pin or paper clip, press reset on Residential Gateway (RGW) router.
2. Go to page 192.168.1.254
3. Click Thompson Gateway
4. Click Setup my Thompson Gateway
5. Click Next
6. Select a service HSI (GPON) + VOIP click next
7. Key in Username
- Home IP: ModemID@home.maxis.com.my
- Public IP: ModemID@public.maxis.com.my
- Password: ModemID + 1 (example: 756215 + 1)
** Your ModemID is listed in your bill statement **
8. Click Next
9. In the Access Network box selection;
- Choose Maxis (if you are using a Maxis modem which is black in color)
- Choose TM (if you are using a TM Modem)
10. Click Next
11. At the Wi-Fi Hotspot selection, proceed to click Next
12. Click Start

Note:
The RGW will be reset back to default settings once the above steps have been completed.
Please try to connect to LAN and test the connection.
If do not have a LAN cable, try to connect via Wi-Fi using the default Wi-Fi name and password. The Wi-Fi Name and Password can be found under the Maxis Thomson RGW.

B) To Change WIFI Name, please follow steps below
1. Go to page 192.168.1.254
2. Click Home
3. Under Home Network, Click Wireless
4. Click Configure
5. Under the Network Name (SSID): Enter preferred Wi-Fi Name
6. Choose Manual under Channel Selection
7. Ensure that the Channel is 9
8. In the WPA-PSK Encryption Key, key in your Wi-Fi Password
9. Click Apply

Note:
If you have additional customise settings for the RGW, please perform backup for the settings as below:
(Thomson Gateway > Configuration > Save & Restore Configuration)

Please do revert to us should the issue still persists upon performing Master Reset and changing your Wi-Fi username and password.
