Hi folks,
I'm using a 2010 Vios, type G.

Am encountering this dirty stain on my driver's seat after so long of using the car.
You guys have any recommendation to help get rid of this stain?

Been browsing ENEOS, can't seem find any leather cleaner... all seems is conditioner only.

Appreciate any help icon_question.gif

try ace hardware or those shops selling leather sofas, they should sell cleaners as well

You ever use before this brand?
I know Meguiars is quite the branded stuff, just wondering if it really will work ....

Looking for brand recommendation, really. I bought cheap version, just to cubatry, and it didn't work.

I bought mine at Parkson. Price is RM 57.00 but I have parkson voucher.

The item is 2 in 1 spray Cleaner and Conditioner.
Every products have nice smells to them. I used their car shampoo, wax and few items from Meguiars. No complain. Highly recommended.
Even their wax smells like perfume. thumbup.gif

Now they have new packaging below.

do you guys do the waxing and polishing by yourself? what brand of was or polisher you guys recommend?

Added on September 17, 2012, 5:26 amSeriously, Toyota should gives better spec for Vios considering that range of selling price, now even the full spec G or the TRD spec also does not come with a basic simple USB capability, this is really omg shakehead.gif

What year is ur vios? NCP43 or NCP93?
Some ppl face this issue, just mention this problem to Toyota SC when u send for servicing.
*
this year car 2012..

ohh..so you have heard before that some other ppl also facing this problem as well? Any idea what the Toyota SC did to fix that?

I think only G spec will face this problem due to the dashboard integrated radio is having the panel in black color shining plastic material, suspecting that piece of thing is producing the noise when vibrating. Because other specs like J or E they have the same piece of panel as well but their material looks different and won't produce that kind of noise I guess.

With my previous Vios (M) i also faced with the same 1st gear issue for the first 2-3 months but after a few service round it seems to be ok already no more issue with the 1st gear and reverse gear...

as for the sound in the dashboard.. maybe can check at the glove compartment.. some people said this is the place where most of the sound is generated ( the glove compartment body hitting the dashboard body).... but my brother vios actually have a sound coming out from the dashboard (on top of the meter area) and toyota open up the thing and put something to where the sound originated....

my 2cent

hi kuman, the sound coming out from the dashboard (on top of the meter area) that happened to you brother's Vios, so eventually did Toyota SC manage to fix that problem after put something to where the sound originated?

If it involves cutting of wires, I think the warranty will be voided.

I too had issues of dashboard sound, especially at the centre area. Whenever I press down in front of the meters, the sound disappears. Taken to SC a few times, they could not rectify the problem. Will be gone a few weeks, and after that, the sound is back.

Got fed up one day, decided to DIY. It is easy. The panels are easy to take out, they are attached with just push fit clips! Pull the bottom one first, the middle one behind the gearshift, then the 2 side panels and lastly the meter surround. Took me sometime to find out where the sound came from. Use a stick on felt pad to isolate the offending panel from the metal underneath and presto, no sound, after 1 year. There is actually a video on youtibe showing how to take out the panels.

Putting back was easy, just push in.

Hey guys. My vios has just went through the 20k service. Told SC bout the squealing noise when I brake, they told me serviced my brakes and when I test drive with a person in the car, everything seems ok.

A week later problem came back... Any idea what it is?

Plus my dashboard noise also comes on and off... Just recorded it on my phone and will show SC when I go back. Right now more concerned about squealing noise from brakes, scared later accident....

Any idea anyone?

I had squealing sound everytime i brake about 2 months ago.
Changed the brake pads for less than 3 months that time.

Checked the manual, and found out that sound is actually by design to alert the driver for brake pad replacement. (Which reminded me that i changed a cheaper brake pads previously)

Went ahead and replaced them by stating i want those Made in Jpn and Asbestos Free...no problems until today. icon_rolleyes.gif

any tool needed? or just bare hands to pull and push the panel?

another question is, the bottom one and middle one behind gearshift are where you referring to?
