Unless there is something really wrong with the car, i won't go back to SC after the warranty.

They charge at premium as they try to bind consumers with the warranty.

Even though you do not have any warranty now, charges are the same.

Its really up to you.
Pay at premium at SC and peace of mind.
Or learn to know which part of the car needs minor/major maintenance and bring them to your regular mechanic.
(If you do have one)

Do not think that dropping your car to a regular Ah Beng workshop will ensure everything is fine with the car. There is a reason why the service record list every major/minor service itemised.

Mechanics won't be writing a diary for you, haha.

I'm slowly learning how to maintain a car properly and i just don't like paying at premium when i know whats best for my car at regular maintenance.

My problem is that I don't have any good mechanic cry.gif
Any good mechanic can recommend to me? I'm staying at old klang road.
Many thanks mate

Actually i stay at labuan island,sabah..and the shop is wilayah car audio...one of the famous car accesories shop here..hehe
The price stated there is 138 but after a little bit bargain it cost me about 110...include labour charge..
But i think u can get the bulb at any accesories shop near you and with more lower price..maybe 80-90 ringgit... thumbup.gif

Vios should use 0W30 or 5w30, you will feel laggy if anything heavy than that.

you should change the gasket everytime when u remove the drain nut, the gasket already deform.
try to get the copper gasket if u manage to get one which is suit the size.

is ok, any kind of gasket is alright.

haha im sifu... sure ...i dont think so... notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

last week when to genting.... push abit.... looking at the water temp info from scangauge average reading during hill climb 90c~96c with aircond temp to the coldest (to make the fan run at the max speed) till our themostat open at 96c.
*
actually, when rpm are higher like go up genting, should off the air con to de-stress the compressor.
90-96c during up genting is pretty normal, low speed high rpm, sure higher temp, but still manageable.

Hi, all sifu....

For vios 2009 J manual, the pre-gap for spark plug is 0.8mm or 1.1mm?

Car's manual state 0.8mm for 1NZ-FE engine. Which is for 1.5 engine on Vios 2009 J manual.

Another source i get from website saying 1.1mm is for smoother ignition.

All right guys, here is what i manage to get from the supplier... he is willing to loan one unit to me for testing purpose. Who wanna be the lab rat for this ? I am from KL, if interested then i ask him to make order for one unit for testing. Tentative should be around 1week to 2week.

Below is the harness from CD changer port to AUX in.

going to service my vios for the 5K service (actually meter now at 4890km) tomorrow..
if according to date i got until Oct 23, 2012 for service but somehow i think that using Mineral Engine oil during my first service makes the car feel heavy at the end of the 5K engine oil age...

so this time around going for Semi-syn and see if i can get at least until 11K km before i went back for another service...

btw i'm a "jimat" version of Vios .. biggrin.gif

any thought ?

kuman
