QUOTE(eugenechoong @ Aug 8 2012, 12:08 AM) Eugene, do you have the full address of the SC to fix the GPS HU? I believe they will fix or change the HU on the spot though. Anything to bring over for warranty? Thank you. |

QUOTE(maikaitan @ Aug 7 2012, 11:50 PM) ![]() Just got my car today.. Behind the camera is the "motorman aka Mr Edwin". He did such a wonderful great job and he is willing to wait for me to come and collect my car even after his working hours. He took his time to explain everything to me about the car and what and not I should do to my car. I got my car like less than 5 days after i signed the agreement. It super fast and I dont expect it to be that fast. He remains calm and knows what to expect from a noobie like me and always gives me advice and tips on my car. I deeply appreciate this man and I hope he continue to serve others like he served me. Thanks Mr Edwin..you really make me happy with my new car. Pss.....add me into the group..eh..haha |

QUOTE(figure8 @ Aug 8 2012, 07:08 AM) yup. for more accurate, pump the petrol after it reach "distance to empty"=50km, fill the tank around rm80, which is almost full. reset trip meter to zero, drive around n check the meter when it reach "distance to empty"=50km. then calculate manually: I hv one good suggestion which i always used to check my wife myvi 1.3cc manual for fuel consumption that isron95; rm1.90/l -> rm80 = 42l trip meter = 400km/42l thus it equal to, fc = 10.5l/100km 1st, pump full tank until almost overflow ( a little bit overflow at mouth of refuel hole), not need to know how much u pump in. after that immediately reset trip meter to "0" before start to drive ur car. 2nd, then, drive ur car like usual until indicator light up to refill it. ( try to memorise where u drive mostly, city or highway if can ) 3rd, then, go to pump station, and record down ur total distance from trip meter, say trip meter shown 450km for example. meaning that u hv travel 450km from last full tank (which almost overflow one) 4th, now pump full tank until almost overflow again ( a little bit overflow at mouth of refuel hole like previous pump) to see how much fuel u need to replace it until same level. Now check ur amount of fuel pump in , say RM 60.00 or 31.58 litres for example for RON 95. 5th, now u can use 450km as recorded in trip meter divided by 31.58 litres to get 14.25km / litre which equal to 7.02 litres / 100km. In my opinion, this is most accurate method to measure ur fuel consumption compare to those digital display which i always doubt on it. (This call replacement method since u can pump it until almost overflow which u can see by ur eye to make sure it is same level of full tank between last pump and current pump) BTW, my wife myvi fuel consumption really around 14km / litre , i hv checked it a lot of time already about 60% city and 40% highway Still dilema in deciding for buying Honda City 1.5E or Kia Forte 2.0SX, although I know I should not compare between different Segment car , but I compare them because both fall into my budget. |

QUOTE(pianrasa @ Aug 8 2012, 05:47 AM) Never reached 12L/100km. The highest for me is 11.8 while lowest 9.7. That's 85city/15h'way but i'm quite light footed. Haven't done 1st service yet. ODO is around 450km. Expect better fc after the 1st service. Hopefully. Btw, mine is 1.6 sx 6 speed. What's yours? Added on August 8, 2012, 6:06 am Had the same issue with the usb drive so decided to load my songs onto the microSD card instead. The card is automatically detected and songs will play right where they left off. I think there's a workaround for the usb drive somewhere in either the v11 or v12 forum. U can check them out. Anyway here's what i did with the microSD. * Extract microSD from the HU (make sure the engine is off, just to be on the safe side). * Plug in the microSD into a memory card reader (pc or laptop). * Launch Winamp player (winamp will detect the card). * Right click on a chosen song, transfer to the microSD. Repeat this step for other songs. * Once done, insert the card right back where it belongs (in the HU of course). That's it. Problem solved for me. By right u can always drag n drop songs onto the microSD bypassing winamp altogether. I chose to use winamp bcoz it's easier to search for songs n album arts will also be loaded with the songs. QUOTE(mojoman @ Aug 8 2012, 08:44 AM) the solution is : Thx for the suggestions guys.... Will try renaming the files to shorter names.. If that doesn't work, will try the microSD trick.Song Name + Artist Name = < 30 letters including space right click ur songs and go to properties and edit in the "details" tab as long as u do that.... ur songs will be played everytime u start ur engine. |

QUOTE(22222222 @ Aug 8 2012, 02:19 PM) Aiya , oredi did research from Internet more than one month Lar , but still cannot conclude now , supposed today after work need to meet up the SA for Kia forte to ask more, but for sure he will try to talk about good thing for forte Lar . I more Concern on quality & reliability compare to Honda . For FC , as long as not below 9km / litre for worst case then I still can accept it . For resale value , as long as the depreciation not extra more than 10% compare to civic 2.0 then I still also can accept it . |

Honda isn't that perfect and they are not very fuel saving as well. Forte falls right in the middle.... not too good... not too bad... its just nice... u can't complain for a car that gives u so much high tech specs and still selling at a low price.... if you want a nicer cooler looking forte... wait for the KIA K3 to come to malaysia... that time i think you will not even think about looking at T and H anymore... |

At the end I chose Kia Forte because of the features. Yes FC is high around 10litres/100km. But remember this car is 1300kg. All the features you will never find from other SEDAN. If you are the man looking for Sedan like me. This is the one. |
