Aiya , oredi did research from Internet more than one month Lar , but still cannot conclude now , supposed today after work need to meet up the SA for Kia forte to ask more, but for sure he will try to talk about good thing for forte Lar . I more Concern on quality & reliability compare to Honda . For FC , as long as not below 9km / litre for worst case then I still can accept it . For resale value , as long as the depreciation not extra more than 10%  compare to civic 2.0 then I still also can accept it .

It seem like bonnet brutal opened by force using some kind of tools. Perhaps the CSI guys open the bonnet for investigation after the burn.

I done my research for Toyota, Nissan, and Honda models for year and follow up all the updates of those targeted cars.....end up, I bought Forte which never in my list at all. I just love it at my first glance on it, and I still love it as day 1 after 2nd anniversary.

I get to the right show room, but unfortunately didn't get the right SA. There are not as much of reference and info when the time I bought my car. I went to AZ Master twice, and they do offer me good package (of course, not as good as current offer package and generous free gifts), but they do not have the Titanium Silver color that I looking for in their stock, and that SA told me that I got to wait for 3 months for TS color. Thus, I end up bought from Naza branch with no discount and lousy free gifts. It took me quite about 2 weeks to get the car. While I waiting for the car arrival, I saw a row of Titanium Silver new cars ready in front of AZ Master show room!    .

I do not know why that SA failed to tell me the right info, but if I manage to meet that legendary SA at very beginning, the story ending will be different for sure.

TS! (IM is the right color code in fact  ). I may not have time (use up lot water, not env green + I'm a lazy ) to wash my car all the time, so black and white is out. My previous car is maroon, is time to change so Red also out. Bright Silver is not favorable by my mum and wife. So titanium Silver is the only choice for me.

Well im a new Optima K5 owner and for those of you who know me, ull know that i used to bash Korean cars alot since i was a Jap owner before this. But after test driving the Forte and Optima and then doing alot of research online, i realised that the Korean makes now are far superior compared to their earlier counterparts. Optima and Forte are far from perfect for sure but at least they are much improved. And after almost 4 months of owning the K5, i must say im impressed with the level of service so far. Based on my experience with 2 service centres, i can say that Naza is serious about their brand image and are taking steps to overcome the negative perception.

I complained about a squeeky rear suspension. Very minor and could have been resolved by some lubrication to the bushings i think. But Naza Kia HQ, instructed the SC to replace both rear shock absorbers and bushings FOC under warranty. I also commented that the front power window was a bit 'rough' going up. And behold, they changed the entire motor assembly. Again FOC. One of my front fog lamp covers melted a bit and they replaced it with 2 new set of fog lamps again FOC although this isnt covered by warranty.

This would never have happened with Toyota. I would have had to send my car in a few times and complain like crazy before they replaced anything under warranty. I believe what Naza Kia is trying to do is to eradicate the negative perception about Korean quality. They dont wanna waste time 'repairing or checking. Instead they just replace and this gives the customer alot of confidence.

We have a 5 year unlimited mileage manufacturer warranty and if this level of service can continue, then i have no fears. But Naza Kia HQ needs to know about your problems and issues. Raising it only with the respective SC's may not get you a good response. Send emails to them but i found that posting your problem on the Kia Malaysia Facebook page is quite effective. Ive had a few issues resolved very fast after being posted on FB. Naza has a dedicated staff constantly monitoring the FB page so trust me when i say they will take action sooner or later.

Kia in Malaysia is still facing a problem as many of the front liners (salesmen) are not very competent. Many of their mechanics are also not very experienced. But i think they are slowly being weeded out. I know of 2 salesmen from 2 different branches who were asked to leave after complaints on Facebook.

So keep making constructive critisms but dont just post negatives. Also post positive experiences to be fair to Naza Kia as that will give them more motivation to improve.

Done with soundproofing of two front doors and hood by STP yesterday, Audio quality definitely better and also Engine noise reduced by roughly 35% or so. Today continuing with Front and Back soundprrofing to reduce Road noise..

Heh.. is that the lady called Zainab ? I've mentioned few times since V13 that CSL SC never take note of customers complain seriously. The tagline "family-like care" claimed doesn't work in that SC to solve the annoying issues promptly which shouldn't be happen on new cars after delivery.. They didn't bothered to help me to fix alignment FOC (my salesgirl told me alignment warranty for new car is below 1k km mileage) coz she said "oh.. kereta Encik punye info belum registered masuk kat dlm HQ punya server.. Encik kena dtg lain kali utk buat repair alignment"

Bye bye CSL SC.. although this is the nearest SC available to place I'm staying.. I rather spend 20-30mins time driving to Setapak SC for higher confidence level and satisfied feel after service job done..

Just collected my car yesterday from Mr. Loh after me postponed it for 3 days..
Really no hassle and trusted person.
Only dealing with him thru SMS all the way of the process.
Only yesterday met him for the first time.
Just can't believe i owned a forte..

I'm started to feel abit regretted of using Michelin PS3 tires for nearly 1 month.. road noise is excessive and ride comfort level is not reaching my expectation. Dowan to spend more money just to change tire again..
PS3 is meant for sporty drivers.. which I am not.. 

Aiyuh! that's quite pitiful   I was thinking of changing tyres too to reduce road noise. So now, Michelin is out for me. Anyone knows what type to go for? Reasonable prices. I'm driving 2.0 sx.

Added on August 19, 2012, 1:43 amI also need to pull up boot release trunk lever higher and harder when the car is new. Same goes to fuel cap release lever.
After pulling these 2 levers alot of times it will loose abit and does not require much force to pull lever already to open.

Same to my taman auntiecand uncle those are Toyota and Honda supporter.  When I brought my forte last 3 weeks, they question me is this  car cost more than 100k RM.  ...  I am so proud of this car...

Though during raya period when i go to family houses i got alot of typical questions "why dont buy city or vios? Korea car tak elok.." I just smile. Wont waste my time explaining. I do have 2006 Accord at home

I think the white smoke is normal. I noticed that especially when your start engine from cold morning.

About the 'clutch' sound... i dont have this problem everyday reverse my car out from my house.

If you like the Elantra looks and can wait at least a year then why not wait? Like you said 97k is not 97 ringgit.. so need to choose wisely if dont want to regret. but nobody know whether K3 price will be the same.

As forml me, Im quite satified with my current forte.

When we drive on the bridge with 3 lanes, I think the best lane we should take is the middle. I was on left lane and if I didnt brake as soon as I can, sure the truck will hit me to the fence of the bridge and my car might over turn or clash into the sea.

That happened on the slope down part of the bridge. The truck moved too fast and couldnt brake and almost hit the front car and then the idiot driver pushed to the left and trying to kill me. Shit him!!!

The wheel of truck hit my right side of rear mirror with speed 80 or 90 km/h. You can imaging it almost took my life.
