Depends on which soundcard you're using. (Revolution 5.1/7.1 and prodigy 7.1 won't need an amp)

not sure of revo 7.1 but prodigy 7.1 LT does come with a "decent" headphone amp.
should be good enough to drive hp890. |

Got an 895 from ferox (Who's a really good chap btw). I find it to be really good! And it's nice to be able to pin point locations of the sound. I've never really tried anything else on the same level...So all I can say is that I love it!
 The base is just nice and nothing is over done ( I used to be a base head...But after noticing all the details I've missed with base, I sorta grew up ) |
