Former SHP895 owner xD

Kinda regretted selling it after I got the AD823, it actually separated the voices in choir recordings better than the Aego 2 >.> Even bigger pity was the fact that I didn't test it with my Super DAC... sigh.

Lol, the PA2V2 isn't really the definitive best of headphone amps >_> Try getting a govibe V4 with the AD8397 opamp or something, whatever amp head-fi is hyping now smile.gif

That will be too dangerous for somebody. Imaging you putting AC current around your head. tongue.gif
Nothing one lah, its current that really kills. Even if your skin has no resistance its only a maximum of 16mA with an 8W power amp. (t-amp tongue.gif)

QUOTE
another issue is that, does shp895 cause headache due to the electromagnetic field??feeling just like after hours of talking on handphone..

Never had that kind of headache before wor. Level of comfort... well, no you will know that something is on your head, go for HP890 lah, more comfy and less tight, at the cost of being far more fragile though.

Well, Cahil (I think?) says that the HP890 is better than the SR60, so I suppose its safe to assume that the SHP895 is better than the SR60 too biggrin.gif

AV-710 + buffered amp offers better value for money, imo. The gap between the prodigy LT and av-710 is kinda small sweat.gif

Err, I can't remember that much of the SHP895 now, but I think the SR-5 squarely beats it all aspects >_>

Depends on which soundcard you're using. (Revolution 5.1/7.1 and prodigy 7.1 won't need an amp)

Got an 895 from ferox (Who's a really good chap btw). I find it to be really good! And it's nice to be able to pin point locations of the sound. I've never really tried anything else on the same level...So all I can say is that I love it! biggrin.gif

The base is just nice and nothing is over done ( I used to be a base head...But after noticing all the details I've missed with base, I sorta grew up tongue.gif)
*
Glad you like my SHP895 laugh.gif

However...
TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT OR ELSE bruce.gif (my first ever headphone <____<)

A more appropriate comparison would be between the KSC-75 and the SHP805 actually =P

blush.gif ... sweat.gif ...sad to say, but basically this the most expensive headphones i bought.. lol...  tongue.gif

Another noob question here.. can/do headphones plug into  'digital output' on soundcards?...  rolleyes.gif

Cheers  doh.gif
*
Nope, must be analogue output unless you have a special headphone which has an onboard DAC.

Pink noise is different from white noise, check out wiki for a better explanation.
