It is only a few months old, everything is in a good condition, and smells good, you can actually still smell the "new toys" smell. PM me if interested This post has been edited by LittleGhost: May 26 2006, 11:14 PM |

QUOTE(yeah_guyz @ May 26 2006, 10:27 PM) damn What a weird question to ask... seem like hv to spend RM430 lol haih u not satisfy with the HP1000 performance meh? is it smelly a? 3rd hand d? if the previous *someone* ffk i may take it if not smelly Nope, it smells and looks close enough to a new unit The more important factor is how the owners treat it, instead of how many ppl it's been on That's why u cant judge the condition simply based of the number of users Go get LittleGhost's one la, mine should be pretty much sold already QUOTE(jigon @ May 26 2006, 11:06 PM) Hehe..i thought i am the only one hearing the 'difference'.. Yeay, so i'm not the only one with that oppinion too need more time to burn-in mebbe? i'm waiting for the proper amp to do a listening test again.. just my rm 0.02 Cheers Lack of bass ar, i actually feel it has more bass compared to the 595 More in terms of quantity, but its pretty loose/boomy/uncontrolled Another noticable thing is also it's thin highs This post has been edited by KilJim: May 26 2006, 11:27 PM |

SR60 sounds better than hp1000 ?
interesting, hehehe well, i think like maybe different ppl loved different sound me and dinodog both agreed, hp890 sounds slightly better than SR60. and jigon found out SR60 is better than Hp1000. so can i conclude that Hp890 is better than HP1000? hahahaha it's a loop. and some how, some ppl loved the sound of SR60. some like how philips sound. myself exposed to sony + philips +senheiser only. grado only listen to SR60 of dinodog. well just tonight feel that audiophile is extremely subjective. no standard at all. if there's one user wanna look for opinion to buy either SR60, HP890, Hp1000. and me vs jigon insist what we believe. the user might end up buying 3 pair of headphone... too subjective... hiaz....and see ppl fighting because wanna argue which one is better... now i rather admit my ear is dumb and cannot hear the different..=P it's so many things to be different. like different in player (eg, ipod VS sony ), different place, different song (rock VS classic) even different amp, different cable, different mood, most important is different ear and the only same is the headphone. and yet we are try to look for one of the best, for all situation, all song, all ear. =) heavy.. sorry for offtopic. tonight feel heavy. sometime i just wonder, are we listen to music, or we listen to headphone? some time if i like the song, the earphone ok ok one already enough, (eg, she9500?) and i will still sing along when play the song, and i enjoy the music.... if really the song i don't like, give me a 20K headphone also.. PcWork, u dun believe me...it's true u know!!!
yup..agree that different people shud have different preferences... but system matching also can play an important part on the output characteristic of the sound.. wish we've had a mini meet/gathering somewhere..so that we can share/test all our equipment..and to minimize our budget to our preferred one..or else we will ending up owning more headphones than our head can handle!! Cheers |

go for warm sounded amp ~~~ tube amp is more preferable, if you pairing it with solid state amp, you are going to suffer the harsh highs, midrange is abit recessed though and bass is abit weak, that's why you better pair it with tube amp, warm and tube based generally gives better bass quantity than solid state based:)
My Philips HP1000 pairing little dot III certainly works as a greater synergy than HF-1 with little dot III, the Philips sounds lots airier, soundsstage is huge, mids feel lush just that it's abit recessed, the Grado totally owns HP1000 in bass since the HF-1 said to be among the bassiest and impactful can of the Grado family. For that kind of money, it's certainly among the best bang of bucks can out there! No kidding! Final words, system synergy is only way to go, the Philips aint that poor, once feed them right, they will give you the best This post has been edited by GodLuvSxS: May 27 2006, 02:58 AM |

Make sure you like the music and use the best hardware that you can afford to bring the best out of it.
Sometimes we do have different opinions as long as you don't shove your POV to somebody throat/axx will do. |
