LittleGhost, Hp1000, howsit? can u make a simple review, comapring it with other phones u haf prior?

Hmm... I know HP1000 can produce very low bass up to 5Hz but my Rotel integrated still have no enough ooohm to drive it. May be have to revert back to PA2V2.

I know HD595 is light to drive as I tested it with HD1500U (Wireless amp), the music really sounds nice.

Both also have their own strength.

i'm sure it's just us.
and how come Tachi is mentioned? supposed to be ijan and KilJim.

maybe you should wait for the next gathering. if i could attend, you could hope to play with some uber high end DIY amps. and a few modded sources.

^ or maybe you just need to dive into DIY.
build yourself a unit of any amp, and listen to it. by then you don't need to trust anyone, not me, not Head-Fiers, not ijan and even KilJim and Tachi. trust your ears.

but anyway.
roughly is .HP800 have much more wider sound stage, treble also not so harsh.
but in bass, KOSS can produce better and deeper bass.

It is a little bright, think everyone will tell u that 
But not bright to the point that it's a problem for me though
Of course compared to something like the HD595 it's way brighter

If you have the space/cash and no issues with disturbing family members/neighbours, try the speakers first, headphones can be great adjuvant if circumstances don't allow a proper hifi setup. If the above issues become a compromising problem for you, then definately go for the headphone/amp setup, it can be just as enjoyable at times but to be frank, hifi does the job better most times for most people.

Headfi has been gaining popularity especially with intro of Ipod and gang, but looking at the market sector reserved for headfi (eg. in magazines, websites, hifi shops and such), there is still a long way to go b4 they catch up with real world hifi.

We should stop using "burn-in" terms and start mentioning "Run-in".

Don't need those pink noise or whatever noise, just listen your music through out certain period your music will come sounds better. Precise bass and better clarity trebles.

i hav a question to ask.

My PC has a sound 'BEEP' everytime i switch it on, and the sound is quite loud. Can the sound hurts my headphone? (since my SHP895 is always connect to PC)

Does anyone has the same problem with me? Any solution to it?

But there are 2 'BEEP' produced, 1st 'BEEP' comes from casing speaker, but another 'BEEP' sound comes out from sound card, to my headphone or speaker set, and this is wat i worry about 
any solution to overcome it? Or mayb i use the most stupid way, unplug the headphone everytime i switch off PC.

Just curious, anyone tried HP1000 on a MP3 player before? hehehe I tried HP895 on T10, need to use louder volumn and higher boost to bring up the music.

looks like ive purchased a headphone that's too far of high performance to be listened to my mp3/laptop without having to add any expensive side stuffs.

40 hours seem not really a good mark, but is for a warmup level only.

hehe I am even more skeptical to think there's any differences after 10 hours continuous running. Most of the time, our mind will convince us that there's improvements although that's just our ears getting used to the music played by the headphones, nothing more tongue.gif
