895 cable is 3 meter long.
and for the ppl choosing the 895 and 805. the different between the two headphone is quite big. but still, it worth to pay another RM 100 for it. even though it sounds like 805 sounds bad, but take this point, you can't find any better headphone within RM 150 compare to 805. =P |

lol. i still like my HP890, and ijan's HP890 is on my hand also now.
it's very durable now, and have very nice life with me now. lol i even DIY one wooden stand for it. and DIY OFC cable with 2.5mm plug...(phew,,, i can find the adapter.. lucky huh..) ![]() ![]() ijan : ur HP890 is very fine here, no need to worry ya. =P i spend a lot of time making it as good as new now. wipe it nicely. and tighten all the screw.. and so on.. so now it is as good as new, except the join there got a bit cacat, which 100% don't effect normal use. |

suggestion get. Philips aurillium PC805.. =P or audiotrak OPTOplay. sound really sweet when paring up with my HP890.
=) who said HP890 lack in treble??? i will say, they never power it up properlly.. =P sorry don't flame me ya.. just my 2 cent, powering HP890 with AKM chip built in aurillium and PC805 really sweet. even without amp already the sound is quite balance. nice treble, tight bass (not bloated). and if i use optoplay + cmoy buffered amp... hehe of course it "must" sound good... never tried Pc805 with an amp, IMHO i think pc805 have enough power to drive HP890 already. so i didn't quite like to go through it to amp... too messy on table.. of course lah, brother. the price of 1212 also far away from aurillium sound card....
some more, even 0404 already twice the price of aurillium loh.. =P hm.. i should say : Philips aurillium is best soundcard, below RM 500, for notebook. =P This post has been edited by PcWork: Mar 16 2006, 07:41 PM |

i only got Hp800 wor.. but anyway. roughly is .HP800 have much more wider sound stage, treble also not so harsh. but in bass, KOSS can produce better and deeper bass. |

chaintec don't have enough power to drive hp895 lah
if u want chaintec, ok also because it sound nice. but extend ur budget a bit, buy a basic cmoy amp from garage sales there, there's one ppl making it for only RM 80 so RM 100 (sound card) + RM80 (cmoy) will drive the hp895 nicely. |

cmoy is a basic headphone amp.
normal sound card can drive headphone, but some might got DC Offset which can kill a headphone. and other than that, amp can actually provide more power to drive full potential of the headphone, with amp, there's a room for improvement. |

hehehe sounds very complicated , i just don't care burn in or break in, got sound can listen and i am happy, good enough. then we can see the sound change gradually. it's a fun also.
just tak sampai hati put my player and the headphone play while i am not listening to it, a bit like membazir. later finished burn my headphone but my player KONG also not worth better run it slowly and enjoy the sound. =P |
