For burn in, is it necessary to get a specific type of music or whatever that has a big spectrum of frequency like pink noise?

Well I did it with only Eric Clapton's collection LOL not sure if that's fine or not. But his voice does sound much realistic than first day listening tongue.gif

We should stop using "burn-in" terms and start mentioning "Run-in".

Don't need those pink noise or whatever noise, just listen your music through out certain period your music will come sounds better. Precise bass and better clarity trebles.

Good luck.

Break-in sounds like playing harsh music, fierceful thunder attack like KORN.
Burn-in like let the electricity flow and achieve nothing.
Run-in sounds better as your cans/system already running through out certain period.

hehehe sounds very complicated , i just don't care burn in or break in, got sound can listen and i am happy, good enough. then we can see the sound change gradually. it's a fun also.
just tak sampai hati put my player and the headphone play while i am not listening to it, a bit like membazir.
later finished burn my headphone but my player KONG also not worth
better run it slowly and enjoy the sound. =P

hey... i got a ques for u guys...
planning to get one SHP895 from Davis...
but i wanna know whether the quality finishing of the product is good anot?
wat i actually mean is whether the headphones is finished with plastic or aluminium?
cos from the pics, it looks quite aluminium....
if plastic then it's quite sad la cos it would be like the SHP890... after some time, my fren's SHP890 plastic color faded from grey to a lil yellowish...

Aluminium? -> Dream on.
ABS plastic yes.

Yellowish because of the laquer layer turned to yellow due to direct UV shine on it, in short words store or keep under sunlight direct hit and radiation.

My HP890 still looks like new.
