You cant really judge by the impedence alone
It's harder to drive volume-wise than my 120ohm HD595

Original plan was to downgrade the 595 for the HP1000 since i dont use them much anymore

Lack of bass ar, i actually feel it has more bass compared to the 595
More in terms of quantity, but its pretty loose/boomy/uncontrolled

Another noticable thing is also it's thin highs

Nope there arent any direct rules for not using the quote

If you have stone ears like mine, you wont really hear much of a difference between MP3s and Lossless formats
So dont worry too much about it

I felt the HP1000 was kinda "hollow" though
Its like the plastic case was filled with mostly air, for no particular reason

Probably cracked due to the twisting

aichiban - You have to realize that not all headphones are made to make your music sound more exciting
How sure are u that the more exciting one isnt colored and the less exciting one is the way it was meant to be?
Perhaps if u tried a HD555 you'll notice that it's even more boring !

If excitement's your thing, probably u can try out some Grados
