QUOTE(supazta @ Jun 5 2006, 10:32 PM) hello all... u know wat? u better keep it safely n buy a nice solex lock for it. i m desperate too.... n i jus stay nex to u. beware..... hahai received my hp1000 about 4 days ago and i have been enjoying it..savouring every inch of it... just now i listened to marc anthony's my baby you... AND WOW!!!!!! i think i was in 'half-possesed' state..man my eyes closed... enjoying his voice... damn... and this is without any PAv2v! wonder how it'll sound like when i buy one. anyways..to 'bring out the best' of my can, shud i get a soundcard(for my lappy..as i usually listen to songs from it) OR shud i get a an amplifier? got really confused... honestly.. someone offered me this can and i accepted immediately as i was desperate. hehe. cheers for other hp1000 owners!! |

i think u should try the amps urself be4 u buy. try n see if u can notice any significant improvement. btw, thedoctor is selling a portable amp for RM300. quite an expensive investment, it is class A, so should b better than the class AB. but again, if u cant hear the difference between class AB and class A, no point spending the extra for the latter. the best thing is thedoctor is giving a 14-day money back guarantee. meaning if u ar not satisfied, don notice any difference, u can giv it back to him n he wil giv u full refund.
i seriously believe HP1000 is underpowered when unamped. it is very difficult to drive. so i think amping it wil improve the sound a lot. for ext soundcard, PSC805 is a nice n cheap 1. or u can try Audigy NX - ext version of Audigy2 ZS. but buying an amp+soundcard will cost u quite alot. if money is not ur prob, then u can go ahead... haha |

FIM super sound is very rare in auckland too... as wat i hav said... auckland.... haih.....
PSC805 is RM210 if u buy from lgs bulk. but i donno wil he open the bulk again. or u can get a 2nd hand 1 for RM190 in garage sales section. DAViS is selling it at RM270 for amp, there ar plenty of cheap 1 around. but i don really know about their difference in performance. there ar PA2V2 for RM222, mini-eph RM120, n others like edifier tat u can buy outside. if u don mind buying DIY 1, then there ar CMOY RM80, class AB RM130 from Eokboy, portable amp RM300 from thedoctor. (should i get advertising fee from these sellers?? haha....) since u r in a tight budget, i think u should buy an amp 1st. jus my humble opinion. u can try to ask the sifus here |

QUOTE(PcWork @ Jun 6 2006, 11:33 PM) i was considering another possiblities which will be : i think someone said in the PSC805 thread tat the headphone out is crappy. was it u?Significant improvement : buy a USB soundcard (PSC805) So-so improvement : buy a headamp if she bought an headamp, she still powering it on AC97 (notebook soundcard) so it will make sound loud only, as the output by ac97 is already quite low quality. i still thinking, if she using her HP1000 with PC805, it might sound better as pc805 have enough power to push it. if use the line out at the back panel, it is unamped rite? |

QUOTE(supazta @ Jun 8 2006, 11:06 PM) uhhh...from ur discussions, well, u can jus ignore wat other ppl said n satisfy with wat u hav. u doesnt hav to go for the best. u hav choices. choose who to listen to wisely. most importantly, listen to ur wallet carefullylooks like ive purchased a headphone that's too far of high performance to be listened to my mp3/laptop without having to add any expensive side stuffs. aiyoyoyo... |

QUOTE(yeah_guyz @ Jun 9 2006, 12:43 AM) the problem now is no money le. no money nothing can b done.n also, tat is only the case if she can hear the difference. she is stil quite new to this hobby. if she cant hear the difference, wat for pay so much money for the amp, soundcard n all? she listen to mp3 mostly (i assume). wat kind of quality do u expect from tat source? mayb u can say get better CDs, amp, soundcard, mp3 player... these things will cost her a lot. supazta: my advice is test the amps/soundcard/wateva u wanna buy with ur setup and play the songs u usually listen to. buy if u can hear the difference (of coz, a good difference la...) n if ur wallet allows This post has been edited by hyyam85: Jun 8 2006, 08:56 PM |
