between these laptops, i just wanna ask about two things, heat and speed..

which are better in cooling and lower heat?
and between i7 and i5, is there any much difference? i mean in terms of gaming..

The Asus should run cooler because of the relatively larger size and the relatively weaker CPU
i5 and i7 don't really bring about large performance differences, unless if you're talking about intense RTS games

Now Asus even got icecool, but use for surfing still will feel hot...

1. Preferred Brand: don't mind any
2. Budget: around 1.5k/1.6k
3. Usage: surf, document, light gaming, movie
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14"/15"
5. Warranty: global/international

I would go for the 2nd because it comes with OS, and the GPU is much more powerful than the one in the Asus

Hi. I'm currently looking around between MacBookPro 13 or Sony Vaio S 13. Budget will be below 4k. Never a Mac user though. Should I go for MBP or Vaio S? Heard Vaio S has heat problem.

What ur usage? Every laptop sure will have heat issue, just serious or not only...

Sony Vaio S13 got just a bit hot above the F7 - F9 keys, which you don't have to worry much.

Bare in mind, the Vaio S13 have a dedicated GPU (GT640M LE), while the MacBook Pro only have Integrated GPU.

Yup, the Y480 and the Y580 FullHD is the best laptop in terms of price and performance.

before this i thought of having the hp dv6t-7000
but i saw sifuss here recommended most is lenovo y580/480

i hope the price will be drop to 3300- and hoping it would last for 3 years of more. hopefully
