Just wait for it nod.gif
We'll be seeing W8-based laptops real soon~
Even if its delayed for whatever sort of reasons, there are packages where you could upgrade your current W7 to W8 at a price iinm hmm.gif

Those Dell you mentioned are no match for the Y480/580 laugh.gif
Y580 is a lot more powerful than the Y480, but larger and bulkier instead brows.gif

If you're going for Lenovo, better opt for on-site warranty, which is much better than normal carry-in warranty  smile.gif
*
yeah and Y580 is not so expensive . laugh.gif

last question smile.gif

first suggestion will be the Y580
and ur 2nd second suggestion ? dell laptop laugh.gif

thanksss thumbup.gif

edit
sony s or an sony laptop is not good compare to this dell and lenovo ? the one below rm 3500 icon_question.gif

What do you mean by upgrading the Y480? What do you intend to upgrade?
Y580 is much better in terms of graphic performance if that's what you're asking..

Lenovo U410 is a totally different category than the Y480/580 oh... its more geared towards portability and slimness. Don't expect it to perform as good as the Y480/Y580, its not even close at all tongue.gif
*
i thought that u410 would be the same as y480 cause the design is good biggrin.gif
emm no no my mistake.
what i mean is what can i upgrade on y480 in order to be similar to y580 biggrin.gif if i want to lah

can you help me again icon_question.gif

Nope, you won't be able to upgrade the Y480 to become the Y580 (in terms of specifications) laugh.gif

U410 is an ultrabook - Basically used for simple daily tasks (office, web surfing, watching movies etc.). Its build with slimness and portability in mind, at the expense of performance.

Y480/580 are multimedia machines - Weight is not really a concern here. They are designed to offer good CPU/GPU performance, and not to mention relatively better cooling systems and great speakers as well.

So at the end of the day, you need to decide what you want nod.gif
Would you rather sacrifice performance for lightness, or vice versa
*
you help to decide which one i would buy. thankss alot.

i think i go for y580 rather than y480 because the price dffrnt is not much.
and i will use it for a long term.
upgrade it to 3 years on site wrrnty will do right smile.gif

thanks again. finaallyyy thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif notworthy.gif

Err, basically:
1. Go to shop with money
2. Order/buy the laptop
3. Go home with laptop happily

If you just want to get the laptop original without any modifications then follow the steps above smile.gif
They add SSD to increase the efficiency/faster, of course its more expensive.

okayy sound easy. haha

*
yeah that what im thinking. just wait for a few months. hope it wont take so long. haha
thanks btw smile.gif i think y580 so be more than okay. agree ?

can you tell me the right price for y580. rm 3599 ?
and let say that i purchase the lappy now then upgrade it to windows 8, it is switchable betweem 7 and 8
cause i watched a video when the laptop start , it can choose if wanna use 7 or 8 ? or it is just the wins 8 preview ?

Since you are looking for something light and you're only doing mid-level gaming, then just go for the Y480 nod.gif
Save the rest of the money for other usage  smile.gif

you could try pm this seller... to check if he have Y580FHD... Y580 & Y480 comes with 2 years international warranty... but the seller do sell upgrade to 3 years ONSITE warranty (only applicable in Malaysia but outside Malaysia will be normal warranty which you need to send in your unit to the service center)

I bought from the seller Y480 + upgrade 3 years onsite warranty..
