Hi there, I am considering to buy ASUS EeePC 1225B. I would like to know if it will lag if I play NBA 2k12 and FIFA 13 on it?

By the way, I want to get a cheap notebook or netbook.

Either this:
Dell Inspiron 15R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + AMD HD7730M + (1920x1080; anti-glare) + 32GB SSD + 1TB HDD(5400rpm)@RM3199, 8GB,backlit keyboard optional

or this:

Lenovo Ideapad Y580, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GTX660M (2GB) + (1920x1080) + Bluray@RM3599[JBL], 8GB, 1TB HDD(5400rpm), W7HP, 2 years international warranty

The latter is way more powerful so its recommended if you're into gaming nod.gif The extra money paid would be well worth it for the gain in GPU power brows.gif

Guys, does Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 430 worth it? Price at RM2449 for this spec. i 5-2520M 4GB 16GBSSD+500GB INTEL HD3000.
Honestly i don't know why the hell i have thinkpad in my mind. Maybe due to rigid build and matte display. sweat.gif

Any opinion?

Depends on what you're using the laptop for?
If you are going for a ThinkPad Edge, go for the one with Ivy Bridge, its better nod.gif

True. Thinking for the i5 3210m, pricing at RM2699. Act this thinkpad series for what bro? I buy for the sake of the build and matte screen only. laugh.gif
Usage, my daily work just on the internet and multitask. Even low end B9xx will be enough. sweat.gif

ThinkPad Edge are more reliable business notebooks, you can't really compare them to budget-line laptops with similar specs yo brows.gif
Summore the ThinkPad Edge have spill-resistant keyboards. They used to come with 2 years on-site warranty as well, but I'm not sure whether they still have it or not tongue.gif

Depends on what you do really, some programs utilizes the i7 core and some don't.

However based on personal experience I find that i5 and i7 doesnt make much difference really [I play games like CoD and also use modelling programs etc]

You won't get any carbon fibre for RM2.5k man  laugh.gif
You need at least RM3.4k for that one

Anyway, can consider these instead:
14"
Dell [Ultrabook]Inspiron 14z, i5-3317U + AMD HD7570M + 32GB SSD + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2599[1.87kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm) *no VGA port
HP [Ultrabook] Envy4-1043TX/1053TX, i5-3317U + AMD HD7670M + [32GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm)]@RM2599[Beats][1.75kg], 4GB, W7HP
Lenovo [Ultrabook]U410, i5-3317U + Nvidia G610M + 32GBSSD + 320GB(5400rpm)@RM2599,W7HP, colors: grey/pink, 2 years international warranty

*All are capable of light-medium gaming  icon_rolleyes.gif

uughh!! what if i increased the budget a little bit? about 3k maybe? will take me a while to stack the money..but if its worth it..im up for it..

envy 4 : quite pretty, but way too many complaints about the touch pad, keyboard and the screen..
so no deal

lenovo u410 : pretty, complaints about screen, not enough horsepower from the graphics department.
also kinda no deal sad.gif

inspiron 14z : just had a laptop almost same as that, only lighter and and better battery life. its a better deal than the rest..but uh..im not too sure i want This.

i am sooo sorry guys for being too picky..really, forgive me..but what else would i get for 3k
must have good screen, keyboard, touchpad. discreet graphics is a huge plus.
need/want a good battery life.

i asked here because i just cant find 'the' laptop..

For me, just go for the laptop u like, don't care too much about other's complain. Even now u feel the inspiron 14z better than other, if u not lucky enough, u also will get the set with touch pad, keypad, screen got problem 1... (touchwood)

Errr?
CPU or GPU performance first? laugh.gif
You will notice performance differences for programs optimized for quad-core processors- mostly those rendering/ calculation software
Gaming-wise, most of the time i5 and i7 won't bring much difference... the GPU is more important nod.gif
