Haha.. u also notice that hor.. Surprisingly Tokyo lack of rubbish bins.. Damn difficult to find even inside shopping malls  biggrin.gif

The clear table culture mostly happening in Far East like Taiwan, Korea & Japan.. All of these countries are part of Japan so called commonwealth hehe.. U dun see this table clearing in M'sia or even Australia to my surprise..

Because they recycle. Even in our hostels they advise us to put paper one side so they can recycle. Then plastic and tins in 1 bin and waste in another. I remember their garbage collections also rotate one. i.e. maybe 1 specific days for tins, 1 day for plastic, 1 day for waste and 1 day for paper or something similar. Have to ask those living in Japan. wink.gif

Um...any other things i need to observe when I'm there?
So far, it seems like:-
1. No eating while walking
2. Clear own stuff after eating. (Clear to where?)

Anything else? Anything about food with bones / cores?
Proper placements of utensils? Is Itadakimasu really necessary?

Can eat on the go lah.. Me eating tapao breads there too..just difficult to find dustbins. Clear own stuff..normally just bring the whole tray to kitchen counter lor.. sure have wan and if McD & etc, got teh similar tray & dustbin thingy and we suppose to throw the rubbish and put the tray on top.. You can see this in M'sia but no one in M'sia pratising this.. Well, after Taipei, Seoul & Japan, I started clearing my stuff everytime visiting KL KFC/McD liao... rclxms.gif

U dun see this culture in british world including Australia.. They just throw rubbish on the table.. sad.gif

Haha.... that's where the teens are. No choice. But generally it is still clean. I know when I want to smoke, if on the street I need to focus hard to see whether there is any cigarette butts around. If there is... then brows.gif Nonetheless hardly smoke on the street unlike in Malaysia. Smoke freely. tongue.gif

There is one entrance/exit in Shinjuku where I loitered during one evening and man, it was like the whole pavement is smokey. Because everyone was hanging around there smoking! And the smoking area was so small, hence imaging the crowd and smokes and yes the bicycles! Across the road is McD. Right in-front is the entrance/exit as well as a small complex which housed Daiso and Uniqlo.

Can eat while walk. Bring small plastic to keep the waste.

Also while eating and ordering, try to observe the locals and you will know what to do wink.gif

Anyone been to Saitama before, specifically Chichibu? Any recommendation on a decent ryokan/accommodation there?

I planned initially to go to a day tour via yokoso. However, I just got news that tour cancelled due to less people. Anyone knows where to go for Mt Fuji view + wine tasting + Gosen hot bath + Gotemba Outlet tour besides Yokoso?

DIY. use the suggestion on pg 1 using Odakyu free pass. but this one bypass the Gotemba outlet. To goto Gotemba, I think u need to take JR rail instead of Odakyu..

simple
calculate and sum it up.
compare see whether depart from diff airport, or shinkansen/nightbus/flight back to same arrival airport is cheaper and cost/time efficient.
no one can do/decide it for you coz its subjective when its cost+time

I will be in a conference at Tokyo for one week and have 5 free days after that. Plan is to go Disney sea and head to kyoto and Osaka.

Now the next question is whether Is it worth to invest any transport cards or passes.

Anyone knows how much is is roughly for airport transfer (taxi for 4 person) from Haneda airport to hotel? My hotel is in Shinagawa so it's actually only 15km from the airport. Checked online and the lowest is around 8,400 yen. I was told can get for RM200. Is this true?

Btw, should book in advance or better to just get a taxi upon arrival at the airport. I'm reaching around 11pm+.
