Not sure about how lenient is the issuance of Visa, don't want the risk... as we are in a group for free and easy.
*
As long as u meet the embassy's requirements and prepare all documents, it should not be a problem. They want to make sure u dont jump aeroplane there, so u have to have enough cash balance in ur bank account. Some ppl say rm6k minimum, but the more the better. My advice is dont worry so much and go for the cheap ticket in advance icon_idea.gif

Is that about 3 months stay in Japan?
I read that in Japan embassy site, but the 90 days more like the duration you may stay in Japan instead of how long the visa will last before it expired...
*
Like previous poster had said, the visa valid for 3 months after the issue date. It is for 15 days stay. If you have all the documents, dont worry. For my visa, I prepared RM6k for 10 days holiday in Tokyo. I just go to counter, within 5 minutes got the receipt and 3 days later got the visa. Easy!!!

Thank you all for the feedback. Gave Japan embassy a call and indeed validity only for 3 months. Contrary to a post here one member mentioned he only visited 4 months after visa approval.

Have any of you tried the multi entry 3 years visa? Seems like a better idea for those who plan to revisit.

Part two of my trip report - covering the second main city Kyoto. Here we only spent 2 days and 2 nights. Full write-up and more photos at over at my blog link here otherwise just continue reading below biggrin.gif

Note on Kyoto is that public transport is predominantly bus only since the entire city only has 2 subway lines with pretty crappy coverage. Buses are quite crap too, those more popular journey we all cram like sardines icon_idea.gif

Day One: Lunch at Gogyo Ramen and then walk around at Nishiki Market. Gogyo supposed to be best ramen in Kyoto according to gaijins on TripAdvisor.

Our Ryokan was Ryokan Shimizu, ¥12,600 per night. Decent location, small but comfortable rooms. No onsen or kaiseki dinner but got a 'public' bath that you can reserve for personal use.

At night we went to eat at Kichisen which all the photos already posted in previous 1 or 2 pages.

Day Two: Ninnaji Temple. This temple garden is awesome cos it has hundreds of specially cultivated late blooming sakura trees, so even if you miss the main sakura season, still can come here to view biggrin.gif

Kinkakuji

Supposed to be Kyoto's best sabazushi (mackerel sushi). It's different from edo style nigiri sushi that we are used to cos the fish itself is vinegar'ed and the rice very tightly packed. Click here for full review

Gion and Miyako Odori

Dinner we ate at Musashi sushi - this one is kaitenzushi (conveyor belt sushi), very nice considering ¥137 price tag.

After that next morning we straight go to JR Kyoto station for Shinkansen to Tokyo liao.

http://www.miyako-odori.jp/odori_en.html ... it's some festival where the geikos and maikos go and dance and etc on stage. I use canon 60d and ef-s 17-55mm f/2.8.

Something like this (not my video)

I spent 8 days 7 nights in Kansai area for Sakura viewing.
Spent 4 nights in kyoto and 3 nights in Osaka.
Would really suggest you to spend at least 3 full days in Kyoto (to cover those top attractions) and at least 1 full day in Osaka.
If you want to experience "seeing kyoto in kimono", add another one full day to kyoto.
If you want to go universal studio, add another one full day to Osaka.
If you plan to see those deers and have a relaxing day trip to Nara, add another one more day.
If you want to go for Kobe beef in Kobe, enjoy Hotspring and do some shopping in Branded outlets, add another one more day.

I think it is because you are staying 16 days in Tokyo already. 15 days mana cukup smile.gif Got a friend gave 10k also got 15 days only. I think base on your itinerary.

Final city that we visited was Tokyo! We went Tokyo not too long ago so this trip we didn't need to 'cover all the attractions,' just went wherever we wanted biggrin.gif Click here for full write-up and pictures otherwise just read on!

Day One: Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo. Awesome bullet train system.

user posted image

Hotel in Tokyo was MyStays Hotel Asakusa. Decent location, few mins walk from JR Asakusabashi station, ¥8,700 per night.

user posted image

We had lunch near Sensojii then eat that super gooding melonpan.

user posted image
user posted image

After that go Tokyo Sky Tree and shopping around the Tokyo Skytree Mall there.

Day Two: Taxi to Tsukiji Fish market for tuna auction.

then we went to Sushi Dai, but holy crap it was a freaking FOUR HOUR WAIT. IMO not worth it.

user posted image

After that go back hotel zzzz and night time to Takashimaya Nihonbashi to ogle their Depachika.

Day Three: Shinjuku Gyoen, which is damn impressive that there's such a nice park.

user posted image

Then lunch at nearby Move Cafe for the cute Latte Art

Then went Odaiba to look at the Gundam and buy omiyage

Day Four Back to SG riao sad.gif
