The restaurant I went, dinner you can choose from ¥14,000 to ¥25,000 sets (add another about 20% for taxes, charges, etc). We chose to go with ¥20,000. Honeymoon trip so splurge on once a lifetime meal, most of our other food was cheap stuff like ¥400 beef bowl + udon combo share by 2 people lol.

I think it will be cheaper if you go for lunch
I have noticed that some cuisine serve almost at Half price for lunch menu as compared to dinner.
Authentic kobe beef set menu is one of them..

Hi all. After we secured the Visa, how long would it be valid for?
Say I have planned for a trip in Jan 2014, can I apply for Visa now?

Thanks. Would like to secure the Visa first prior to buying flight ticket (which will be lowered if book early).

Don't worry. U can buy flight ticket first then only apply visa. I bought cheap tickets 6 months ahead of my trip and apply visa 2 months before trip.

Is that about 3 months stay in Japan?
I read that in Japan embassy site, but the 90 days more like the duration you may stay in Japan instead of how long the visa will last before it expired...

Not sure about how lenient is the issuance of Visa, don't want the risk... as we are in a group for free and easy.

No, 3 months validity means you must travel within 3 months after getting the visa otherwise it will expire. Duration-wise I only got 15 days ... so cannot holiday in Japan longer than 15 days.
