The restaurant I went, dinner you can choose from ¥14,000 to ¥25,000 sets (add another about 20% for taxes, charges, etc). We chose to go with ¥20,000. Honeymoon trip so splurge on once a lifetime meal, most of our other food was cheap stuff like ¥400 beef bowl + udon combo share by 2 people lol.

I think it will be cheaper if you go for lunch
I have noticed that some cuisine serve almost at Half price for lunch menu as compared to dinner.
Authentic kobe beef set menu is one of them..

Hi guys I'm planning to go japan on next apr for Sakura viewing. Going from kl -busan - osaka, Kyoto - seoul  - busan for 11 days. I just back from seoul and planning to Spend more time japan excluded tokyo. How many days u think enough to cover Kyoto Osaka area? 5 days?
*
I spent 8 days 7 nights in Kansai area for Sakura viewing.
Spent 4 nights in kyoto and 3 nights in Osaka.
Would really suggest you to spend at least 3 full days in Kyoto (to cover those top attractions) and at least 1 full day in Osaka.
If you want to experience "seeing kyoto in kimono", add another one full day to kyoto.
If you want to go universal studio, add another one full day to Osaka.
If you plan to see those deers and have a relaxing day trip to Nara, add another one more day.
If you want to go for Kobe beef in Kobe, enjoy Hotspring and do some shopping in Branded outlets, add another one more day.

Hi All,

New to the forum.  Will be flying to Osaka end of Nov'13. Just wondering if I should book my hotel now in order to have early bird discount?  Plan to stay in budget hotel.  Is it advisable to book via Air Asia website or some other websites such as Agoda?  Your advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

You should book it ASAP as end Nov is one of the peak season for Japan!

You can compare more like using hotels.com (they do have sales like 50% off sometimes), hotelclub, booking.com
