Unlimited time. U can shopping in the mall there while waiting. The Uniqlo outlet there give extra 5% if u show them a photo of the SkyTree in ur phone or camera. Try to go to 3pm-4pm to see sunset with Mt fuji view. At the Tembo Deck, everyone will crowd at 350th floor. so u can take the stairs down to 345th floor where there is less ppl.

Luckily u made it. How far is the tourist entrance from main entrance?

5-10minutes walk (depending on speed). Yeah, was happy to make it otherwise I would've been like doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif after spending rm70 on that taxi ride from hotel in Asakusa doh.gif

QUOTE(Max_07s @ Apr 12 2013, 10:55 AM)
do u manage to see sakura bloom there?

Not in Tokyo, the season has pretty much ended last week liao. I managed to catch some in Osaka last Saturday, and at Ninnoji temple in Kyoto a few days ago. Ninnoji ones are apparently special late-blooming strains cos otherwise the Kyoto season also ended last weekend.

Drillz of my waifu during the Osaka viewing at Kema Sakuranomiya park. Actually the peak viewing season already over 1-2 days back, can see quite a lot of trees already shedding petals.

Go there and queue up. They will give u a pass and ask u to return about 1 hour later so u no need queue there for 1 hour.

Just to share, during peak tourist season like now, waiting for any tourist attraction is longer than usual. For sky tree, we went at 3pm, we got the timeslot for 5pm-5.30pm.

Also, that tsukiji sushi restaurant sushi dai in august (summer) 2011 I went once, reach at 6.25am, queue for 1.5 hours then go in eat. Today I went again, reach at 6.25am, queue for four fricking hours then only can go in. No kidding, 6.25am reach, 10.20am only go in to eat doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif If I had known it would take so long I wouldn't have gone. The sushi isn't good enough to justify a 4 hour queue doh.gif doh.gif

Has anyone here been to Fuji-Q? My trip is all the way in September (too kiasu when I got AA ticket for cheap) and I'm wondering how Fuji-Q is around that time. Did my best to ensure it doesn't coincide with school holidays. Also, hoping for no typhoon on that day!

Thanks!

Back from Japan liao!

I flew in on Saturday early morning and flew off on Sunday morning, so I guess 8d/8n. Everything included I spent roughly rm15.4k on two people. This trip was our honeymoon so we went slightly less budget I guess (although the hotels really do look a lot bigger in photos lol).

Just sharing my side trip from Osaka to Kobe purpose to eat the Kobe steak lol, at Steakland. I dunno how to compare between the Wagyu Big 3 of Kobe / Matsusaka / Yonezawa but for me this Kobe was damn gooding.

Oh ... didn't leh, we didn't know Hankyu train was special, we just hantam'ed JR only hehehe.

Anyways just wanna share a quick itinerary for our trip. For now will only cover our first stop - Osaka. We spent 3d and 3n here.

Hotel was Hotel Kinki, ¥5,600/night, about 10 minutes walk from the Osaka station complex. Please excuse the messy photo as we forgot to take a pic before messing the place up lol.

Buy at airport is the cheapest. Yes, cheaper than buying at Hokkaido.
