Today's Magic Word: NE. ^ use this magic word whenever a Japanese person talks with you about anything, in a way of YOU AGREEING WITH THEM. They will automatically understand you. In English, it would be "right?". In Malay, it would be "kan?" -------------------------------------- Person 1: Isn't the weather lovely today? Person 2: NE. Meaning: You're right, the weather is nice. -------------------------------------- Person 1: I hate him so much, he's really a jerk! Person 2: NE. Meaning: You're right, he's a jerk to me too. -------------------------------------- Person 1: I'm starving! Person 2: NE. Meaning: You're right, I'm hungry too. -------------------------------------- i lol'd @ my ajaran sesat |

QUOTE(Suk @ Jul 31 2008, 01:46 PM) Sorry, Cantonese is not a language by the way... its a dialect. Some people go around bragging "i know 7 languages: English (1), Malay (2), [then starts the dialect marathon] Mandarin, cantonese, hakka, hokkien, teochew, etc." all of which are actually considered as one language -___- Mandarin, cantonese, hakka, hokkien, teochew = 1 language!! By the way, how come your sister doesn't know malay?? shouldn't that be essential in malaysia? unless she doesnt live in malaysia.. =/ I speak English, Malay, Cantonese, and Japanese. but i still suck at kanji... any one got easy methods to learn kanji other than asking me to practice writing?? Unfortunately i got no time to practice writing -__- i've got alot of "other" stuff to practice |
