Still can't reach 10mbps >_< Did they put the DSL sync speed at 10mbps and not more? From what I understand, Streamyx 1mbps users can reach 1M because TM set the modem sync speed at 1.5mbps to compensate the ATM overhead. Does this apply to VDSL?

Just to share. As i'm staying in a condo and already using FTTH.

Fiber connection
1) Riser room to Corridor (Drilling required here)
2) Corridor to Unit (Drilling required) (space between grill and door)
3) Space into the unit (Drilling required)

VDSL connection
1) No drilling required as it uses existing phone cables within the unit.

For my case i got the fiber into my unit.

Streamyx is not all ppl set 1.5mb port.
i using 1mb streamyx and always get 800++ kb only.

My Streamyx port is set to 1.5Mbps smile.gif
In that case woud I get >10Mbps on my Maxis FTTH service ?

I'm using Streamyx 4mb.
How come my connections to those overseas servers are all >1mb while you are on 10mb but get a similar result as mine?

If even with if I sign up for a Maxis 10mb plan and I still get the same speed to overseas servers as my humble 4mb, I shouldn't upgrade right?
Because most of the websites that I visit are based in overseas.
So the speed within Malaysia is not that important.

Correct me if Im wrong.

Anyone here using wireless adapter for the desktop...May i know what model using?thinking to buy one for my desktop. PCI or USB wireless adapter is better and cheap?

I need confirmation for those who have installed in highrise using vdsl.
if currently using streamyx,

need to terminate streamyx first
or
terminate after maxis installation.
