u think  N8  is worse. You should try 1X cant focus shit. Like i mention the shutter is extremely fast but its like a machine gun that you shoot that can never kill your target. I use my HTC One X for whatsapp, viber, line. But since WP7 got those app i hardly use the 1X
*
AMEN!

Can't deny this. Shutter speed of One X really fast, but it doesnt care if the subject is focused or not. Its really frustrating, given all the hype regarding the ImageSense etc etc.

Yes, a bit shaky. I've mentioned in previous page, if you shooting full resolution at 38MP, it's very sensitive to shake, haha, somemore it's an event, you can't take your sweet time, plus many people around.

No doubt about it. For any photo taking at least a monopod is needed. It would be useful if nokia give a handphone holder for tripod as default.

think about 4" screen dimension, and you're almost there to imagine 808 screen dimension.

Not necessary monopod is needed. Its how you hold your camera. 2nd it depends on light situation at location. Monopod or tripod mostly needed is when low light.

Technically yes, but not easy when you're shooting at full resolution and then view at 100% crop. Even D800 with over 30MP, there're advice to use twice the shutter speed rule.

Also depends, some people have very steady hands should be no problem. I can't, I notice it's much more harder than N8 to handheld and get sharp photo everytime. Hit and miss; Like previous page, the Gong Cha photo, I also shoot at full resolution and it's inside the mall low light, since there's no restrictions, can have more time to try to get sharper photo.

Another example is, when shooting using PureView (8MP, 5MP or 3MP), you can handheld much easier. When shooting full resolution, it's much more sensitive to even minor shake; You may not be able to see from the screen until you zoom in view in large size.

No, I leave all at default, lazy to adjust, later I don't like, hard to recover. If you set at default, if you want more punch color or more contrast, just increase it via edit.
The default preset not so punchy and contrasty, but when taking human subject, the skin tones is really nice, especially when under good lighting and using low ISO, the skin color very natural and soft/nice (unlike other camera smartphone, the skin color too much contrast, too saturated, etc).

so you mean 808 is better colour reproduction than n8? biggrin.gif

More or less the same? Didn't really compare or go into details of the color differences. Basically I just shoot at default, if not enough contrast then I pump in more contrast and/or reduce the brightness, for the simple edit if required. Both N8 and 808 output tends to be less contrasty compared to others (or they expose more to the right) for the metering. You can reduce the exposure value to get more contrast, but in under expose, you know what happen to the skin tones "lah".

Want expert opinion, have to wait for Sifu Calvin to experiment and explain tongue.gif

Ok la, most of time I also lazy edit in phone, cannot see when edit also (cannot zoom in during edit); So, just upload straight.
Transfer to PC easier to edit, can check details more.
For day shot, usually no need edit also looks good. But depends how picky you are la, sometimes "itchy" ma go edit and make it more punch, contrasty; It also depends on individual taste, some people like pump high contrast or vibrance, I prefer not too much contrast (it looks oomph on small screen, but when view details, it's usually not so good)
